Il passo Hai Van è una delle strade più panoramiche in Vietnam, dove puoi vedere alberi verdi in contrasto con le onde del mare blu. Sulla cima del passo, ci sono le vestigia della porta fortificata molto tempo fa. I bunker americani e francesi nel passo Hai Van offrono una vista più ampia per la città senza alcuna ripida salita. A soli 60 km da Hue, nel tour si trova la tranquilla cittadina di pescatori di Lang Co. La cittadella di Hue è una delle destinazioni più conosciute di Hue ed è stata riconosciuta dall'UNESCO come Patrimonio culturale mondiale. L'intero complesso del palazzo è composto da tre parti: la prima parte è la Cittadella che fu costruita dal 1805 al 1832, attraverso il tempo e la guerra, conserva ancora quasi 140 costruzioni piccole e grandi. La Cittadella fu costruita per scopi difensivi. La seconda parte è la Città Imperiale, la parte più importante della cittadella, costruita dal 1804 al 1833 sotto il regno di Minh Mang King, la Città Imperiale comprende più di 100 opere architettoniche per palazzi e santuari reali ed era a scopo di culto e cerimonia. L'ultima parte è Purple Forbidden City, costruita all'inizio del 1803 sotto il regno di Gia Long King. La Città Proibita Viola fu servita per il re e la famiglia reale. La Cittadella è uno dei simboli della città di Hue e un luogo da visitare per chiunque venga a Hue.
Secondo una leggenda, Lord Nguyen Hoang sognava una signora che diceva che il Signore sarebbe venuto e avrebbe costruito questa pagoda per la prosperità del paese, credendo nelle parole della Signora, Lord Nguyen Hoang ordinò di costruire questa pagoda e la chiamò pagoda Thien Mu che significa "Heaven Lady". Situata sulla collina di Ha Khe, a 5 km dalla città, la Pagoda di Thien Mu è la pagoda più affascinante e antica considerata come uno dei simboli di Hue City.

Great way to see Hue! We are glad we hired a private guide and driver. Tam was an awesome guide, teaching us so much about the history and culture of the area and answering all of our questions. Tai was a great driver, navigating through Hai Van Pass safely on the way back with photo opportunities. The lunch spot was delicious too. Very happy with our choice to book this tour, would highly recommend it!
Hieu was very informative and took us through several different sites in Hue. The food was delicious at the lunch stop. And the transportation was very comfortable.

Enjoyed seeing the history of Vietnam’s kings and beautiful palace grounds and tomb. Stopped by incense village and tried my hand at making an incense stick. Visited beautiful pagoda and temple with important historical significance. Enjoyed lovely lunch. Tour guide Ruby did a fantastic job!

It all went very well. Because it was our first time to make a several-hour drive, we were expectant, but the driver drove safely and carefully. The only thing that would improve would be if he could communicate better in English. Our guide in Hué spoke well English, was very active and well disposed, available. We really liked it. ;)

Hue is a lovely town with a lot of history. The monuments and Imperial City were amazing. The driver was polite and safe. The car was clean. The tour guide Ruby was just amazing. She was courteous and knowledgeable. She really wanted me to enjoy the tour. She even brought a raincoat and little rain booties for me. Ruby shared both historical details but also information about the culture. She was an open, sweet, highly intelligent person and it was delightful to spend the day with her in this amazing city. She also took me to a local restaurant to try foods special to Hue. She really wanted me to try the salt coffee and that was super-fun to go to the coffee shop. The only issue is Hue is quite far from Hoi An and I did not realize that. Better from Da Nang.

We were super disappointed in the way BNT tour operator had organised and did not communicate anything until the night before of the tour only until I had reached out. The fact that there was no communication up till the night before the tour was very disappointing. With the trip to Hue being 3 hours one way, it was an awkward ride. BNT stated in their tour itinerary that there will be an English speaking driver howerever this is false advertising. The sight seeing places to stop over could have been better in the sense if there was a coffee shop to stop by or other options of scenery. BNT operator should also advertise the hours travelling by car takes as nowhere did it stipulate 3 hours until I was informed the night before the tour. BNT did not pass on the tour guide contact details to me so I could not plan or ask the guide and inform her in advance of the food requirement for lunch due to medical reasons. As a result we had to remove a few items off the list. We were very grateful that she was able to tweak some of the menu with the restaurant in such short timing. The restaurant we went to was super accomodating and the food was delicious. The highlights of the tour was the Tomb and Imperial city and the tour guide Trinh was absolutely amazing and accommodating. Her knowledge on the history around the Dynasty and Imperial City was absolutely enriching to hear. Heading back to the hotel we were informed that we would take a shorter route which was around the 2.5 hour mark. This ended up being 3 hours and 20 minutes. Overall the actual tour with Trinh in Hue City and the food were fantastic. BNT representatives lack of communication and false advertising resulted this tour down to two stars.

Just having that personalised one on one experience made this very long day trip worth it. Miss Trinh was extremely knowledgeable and had great English. She was SUPBERB! She went out of her way to ensure I had a memorable trip to Hue. Out of all the Viator tours I did this holiday this was by far the best!
