Oltre il confine di Budapest, c'è un paesaggio meraviglioso, natura pacifica e, ultimo ma non meno importante, vino delizioso. L'Ungheria ha complessivamente 22 aree vinicole diverse in 6 grandi regioni vinicole. In questo tour visitiamo la regione vinicola dell'Alta Ungheria, in particolare Eger, questa graziosa cittadina con una ricca storia risalente al Medioevo e con i migliori vini ungheresi, incluso il famoso Bull's Blood. Il prezzo del tour NON include il pranzo e la degustazione di vini, queste spese devono essere pagate in loco, quindi i viaggiatori non devono pagare commissioni aggiuntive. Il prezzo a persona durante il tour è di cca. 60 €.

Itinerario
All'inizio, girovagiamo per il centro città. Visitiamo il Castello di Eger, dove possiamo fare un'esperienza di viaggio nel tempo fino al Medioevo, durante il periodo dell'occupazione ottomana in Ungheria. Visitiamo anche un minareto e conosciamo le relazioni turco-ungheresi in generale.
Successivamente, vediamo la Basilica di Eger, la terza chiesa più grande dell'Ungheria.
A metà del programma, dobbiamo riempirci la pancia per prepararci alla degustazione di vini. I due possono accadere contemporaneamente; la nostra prima tappa è la cantina Bolyki dove possiamo assaggiare la nuova superstar di Eger (letteralmente) il vino Eger Star con un buon pranzo.
Nella seconda parte, girovagiamo per Szépasszonyvölgy o Fair Lady Valley in inglese, dove possiamo trovare la maggior parte delle cantine di Eger, una dopo l'altra, e visitiamo un'altra cantina per assaggiare il famoso Sangue del toro e altro ancora.

Our Guide Gary and Driver Andrew were simply the best. They took us to everything we wanted to see prior to wine tasting. This trip was not about how many wineries we could visit, but about going to the best winery and having a private lunch there and enjoying all of their great wines.

We had a fantastic day exploring Eger with Petra. The winery we visited was beautiful and Chubby gave a wonderful and fun tour. We enjoyed the lunch so much and we think those cheese balls for dessert have been our favorite on our whole trip. Of course we loved the wine! Petra was a great tour guide but moreover, she became like part of our group and it was fun to be with her.

What a fantastic day with Petra. She is an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. From start to finish we felt like being accompanied by a friend rather than a guide. Our day started with a visit to Eger Castle then on to the church and main square. We were treated to a private wine tasting and lunch at Bolyki winery just outside Eger with instruction provided by the owner himself. This place was a real gem. We concluded with a visit to the Valley of the Beautiful Women. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a personal and unique experience.
