Partecipa al safari nel deserto di Marsa Alam, che unisce brivido, cultura e paesaggi mozzafiato. Inizia con un pick-up in hotel e guida fino a Sheikh Malek, poi guida il tuo quad ATV attraverso le dune dorate e le montagne del Deserto orientale. At first, I was a bit upset because we had to rent face masks for the sand when it was not mentioned on the booking page; it only explicitly stated sunglasses and a scarf. However, these face masks were useful! The quad tour was very beautiful and long, through a fascinating desert, and we drove near the sea. The Bedouin house was very welcoming; we played with some kids and tasted their bread. The guide was excellent, kind, and friendly. The Bedouin bazaar showed us various medicinal spices and perfumes. We had already had such an experience in the Sinai desert, but it is always nice to explore new environments and meet new people! I recommend it to everyone.
The trip was amazing, it takes longer than advertised but the guide made up for it with amazing humour.
Be aware that this operator charges €10 per person for so called “government fees”, while others charge only €5. This is only communicated the evening before the tour. Our hotel was not far away, so that was no reason for higher fees. All these operators eventually end up at ‘The camel yard’. The camel ride is only 2min, don’t expect much of it. The quad riding was a lot of fun and took 2h. While you drive in a line, at least it’s not driving slowly all the time. The sunset at one of the 3 short stops was beautiful! Next up was the Bedouin pharmacy, a demonstration and sale of creams, balsems and perfumes. Last was a dinner and show. The dinner was quite okay, but the show didn’t amount to much. I’d say only the quad riding was really worth it. And the cute cat sleeping in the Bedouin tent store.
