Il vento del cielo è quello che soffia tra le orecchie del cavallo. - Proverbio beduino Nelle comunità beduine tradizionali, i bambini imparavano a cavalcare prima di poter camminare e i cavalli erano considerati una parte essenziale della vita. Mentre il mondo passa ai computer e alle automobili, una famiglia di cavalieri beduini impegnata a mantenere vive le proprie tradizioni. Mountain Horse Stables ospita cavalli da maratona (resistenza) pluripremiati e molti cavalli da trail felici salvati. Oltre all'addestramento e all'allevamento, la scuderia effettua riabilitazione equina in loco. I nostri cavalli riabilitati vengono restituiti ai loro proprietari (ora istruiti) o tenuti a condurre una vita di lusso e coccole come uno dei nostri cavalli da pista. Siamo autorizzati dall'Autorità per lo sviluppo e il turismo di Petra e di proprietà e gestione dei beduini locali.

We lived an unforgettable moment, a magnificent horseback ride in the Petra desert! Joel and Wendy are passionate and in love with Jordan and their horses, on top of that they are so kind! We also had the chance to meet Abid, who has been working with Joel and Wendy since the beginning, a man just as in love with horses. Went there for a trail ride with my two daughters who are visiting from the US for the holidays. We went on a three hour trail ride and we had a wonderful experience. The girls, who are experienced riders, had a blast. It is better to discuss your skill level with the guide before planning your trip. My youngest daughter’s horse was abnoxious, so the guide switched horses with her and she rode a beautiful Arabian! She was extremely happy. The guide Dirrar was superb and the entire experience was mesmerizing! We agreed to come back in the Spring for the Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum six day trail.
Hands down the best experience in Petra. It couldn’t have been better. The horses were great and the hospitality made us leave feeling so in awe of how lovely Jordanian people are. I would spend everyday at Mountain Horse Stables if I could and it’s clear how loved and cared for the horses are. 100% recommend!!
