Questo è il posto dove iniziamo e finiamo i nostri tour. Dopo aver selezionato le biciclette adatte e regolato il sedile, ti forniremo le istruzioni e un casco per biciclette (se preferisci) e partiremo.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet (Thai: วัด พระ ศรี สรร เพ ช ญ์; "Tempio del Santo, Onnisciente Splendido") era il tempio più sacro sul sito dell'antico Palazzo Reale nell'antica capitale thailandese di Ayutthaya finché la città fu completamente distrutta da i birmani nel 1767. Era il tempio più grande e più bello della capitale e serviva da modello per Wat Phra Kaew a Bangkok.
Wat Mahathat, "il tempio della grande reliquia" era uno dei templi più importanti del regno di Ayutthaya. Situato nell'isola storica, il grande monastero presenta un enorme prang centrale, un grande viharn e un ubosot principali e un gran numero di sussidiari e chedis. La parte superiore della sua una volta prang, centrale, è crollata. Oggi rimane solo la base. Uno degli oggetti più fotografati del tempio è la testa di un'immagine di Buddha di pietra intrecciata nelle radici di un albero.
Wat Lokaya Sutha è un'enorme rovina del tempio. È allineato verso un asse est / ovest. Il monastero è stato pesantemente restaurato, comprese le piastrelle del pavimento e i pavimenti in mattoni. La maggior parte del tempio esiste solo al livello base di base. Questo include alcuni mozziconi di pilastri e pareti di base. All'ingresso orientale ci sono i resti di tre vihan. Dietro queste sale dei sermoni è un grande 30 metri di altezza, il periodo tardo Ayutthaya, in stile Khmer. Questa prang-tower ha un ingresso cavo sul lato orientale. I resti di un ubsot possono essere visti dietro il prang. Solo lo strato di base di base è sopravvissuto, ma ci sono molte pietre di sema e detriti di immagini di Buddha. Un grande campanile si trova nell'angolo sud-occidentale di questo ubosot. Il clou di questo tempio è la sua enorme immagine del Buddha disteso (lunga 37 metri e alta 8 metri), che si trova dietro l'ubosot.
Ayuthaya è famosa per i suoi dolci snack mussulmani, curry e nám prík (salsa piccante), e il vivace mercato coperto Chao Phrom Market è il posto giusto per trovarli, oltre a vari piatti tailandesi-cinesi e altri piatti musulmani. Le ore di funzionamento di questo mercato diurno dipendono dai singoli venditori, ma è al massimo nel primo pomeriggio.

You drive a lot along the highway where cars rush by. There was only 1 guide. She was leading the way and didn't look back. Sometimes I stayed a bit behind and hoped to catch up again. She had a bike with a lot of gears. I asked if it could be slowed down, but we were in a hurry. (It was 32 degrees though) All in all I thought it was irresponsible and irresponsible. Glad I wasn't with my son. The guide was nice but rode ahead and didn't see if we followed.

Om een persoonlijke ervaring te waarborgen, hebben we ervoor gekozen om met één gids te werken, wat voor een kleinere groep als de uwe normaal gesproken voldoende is. Het is echter belangrijk om te horen dat dit niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Wat betreft het tempo en de communicatie met de gids, begrijpen we dat dit voor u een punt van frustratie was. We had a wonderful evening on this tour. Our lovely guide Bella took us safely around the town visiting many sites at night. Our guide was knowledgeable and showed us a great time. It was so nice being abke to see the Wats when it was quiet. The cycling was easy and the meal at the end was great. Fantastic night with Bella.

We had an amazing time cycling through town with Bella! The office where you meet up is a little bit out of the way but you can get there easily by Grab or tuk tuk (or motorbike if you have one). Once we arrived we were greeted by Bella and it turned out we were the only ones who booked that night, so it turned into a private cycling tour. We first took the ferry across the river which was really cool and cycled around until we arrived at Wat Mahathat, we then continued on for a stroll around the night market and tasted a few local snacks/appetisers which were all great! After this we continued Wat Phra Ram and Wat Phra Si Sanphet before we stopped at a very local spot for dinner. Bella ordered a hunch of dishes for us to try and all of them were very delicious and we had never tried before. We were also the only foreigners in this place which tells you how local it was, we absolutely loved this! After dinner we finished the tour by cycling back to the office. All in all this was an amazing experience and a huge thanks to Bella for making this tour so enjoyable. Just be aware that since this is in the evening the Wats will be closed so you'll enjoy them from outside the grounds, which is still very impressive. Highly recommended doing this tour to give you a different perspective of the city at night.

The bikes were in great condition. Our guide was really knowledgeable and personable. We saw some amazing sites, and a particular highlight was standing at the top of one of the temples, as the sunset, as the bats were flying out of the temple en masse! Just stunning!
