Visiteremo almeno due luoghi di livello mondiale per la fotografia nelle Canyonlands dello Utah al mattino (alba), così come diversi luoghi fantastici nell'iconico Arches National Park nel pomeriggio (tramonto). Ho viaggiato molto alla ricerca di fantastici luoghi fotografici ed è difficile battere Arches, Dead Horse Point e il distretto Islands in the Sky del Canyonlands National Park. Ti mostrerò luoghi fantastici e darò suggerimenti sulla composizione fotografica e sull'argomento. Posso persino aiutarti con le impostazioni della fotocamera se sei un principiante. Faremo una pausa per il pranzo (non incluso) durante le ore centrali della giornata quando la luce non è buona.

Fotografare da diversi punti di vista attorno a Dead Horse Point
Fotografa in 2-3 località, in attesa di tempo e tempo.
Archi iconici e formazioni rocciose, spesso con le cime innevate delle montagne di La Sal alle spalle. È un parco affollato, quindi cercheremo di visitare luoghi più fuori mano in cui arrivano meno visitatori.
Tempo permettendo, visiteremo un antico sito di petroglifi lungo Potash road sulla via del ritorno a Moab dopo la mattinata a Canyonlands

Nota: ho spazio per 4 passeggeri + attrezzatura comodamente nel mio veicolo, quindi posso guidare solo le prime 4 persone che prenotano questo tour. Altri devono guidare il proprio veicolo e seguirli. Posso incontrarti in qualsiasi hotel o campeggio a Moab (non nella Castle Valley) o al Moab Visitor Center in Main St.

This was a wonderful sunrise and sunset photography tour through Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands, and Arches. Our guide, Colin, is a master photographer with extensive global experience in both landscape photography and teaching. He quickly adapted to my skill level and offered practical, insightful advice that noticeably improved my photography. The time spent with him was both educational and genuinely enjoyable. We began with composition and the art of visual storytelling—learning how to define a subject and use natural lines in the landscape to guide the viewer’s eye. Colin also covered exposure in depth, explaining how to achieve the right balance of light, color, and sharpness. Colin is an excellent instructor, combining deep expertise with patience and clear, easy-to-follow guidance. Photographing these stunning landscapes at sunrise and sunset made for an unforgettable experience, made even better by having such a skilled and engaging guide.

We spent the day with Colin - a very early rise and sunset that we preferred substituted with an afternoon. What a wonderful day that was! Colin took us to all 5 magnificent places, adapted the hikes to our limited mobility and gave us many photographic tips as well as his knowledge about the region and geology. Very professional, very nice personality, highly flexible to his customers and passion for nature - thank you for that wonderful day Colin! We very highly recommend.
My full day photo tour in October 2025 with Colin of Rock Light Photo Tours was excellent. As it turned out, I was joined by two other experienced photographers on my day of photography with him. Colin was fantastic and took us to excellent locations, gave us history and much information about Arches & Canyonlands National Parks and also Dead Horse Point State Park. He explained the geology of the sites which was really great to learn from him. He is an expert in photography and light and was easy to converse with and get along. He was always willing to make great suggestion regarding lens, composition and light at each location. We didn't know each other but it was fun being with everyone Colin had signed up. I was able to take many of the same photos shown on this site and they are excellent. He picked good locations and times of day to shoot. I highly recommend Colin. I understand he will also have more extensive workshop trips to great locations that seem like great photo ventures to consider going forward.

Colin is a knowledgeable photographer that took us to amazing locations. I got some great pics and appreciated his insights.
My mom and I had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Geremy. Not only did he take us to the most breathtaking scenic spots, but he also gave us helpful tips on how to take better photos. His knowledge of photography and the area and his sense of humor really made the tour special. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great views and wants to capture them beautifully!
Colin worked with me to do tours of the area that were customized to some mobility issues I had. We did a half day sunrise tour one day and a half day sunset tour the next. The photos I was able to capture will be cherished for a long time. He is very astute in knowing where to capture the best light.

Really enjoyed the photography tour with Rock Light Photo Tours. Highly recommend it! Colin was very informative and taught us a lot about both our phone cameras and our Nikon. Took us to out-of-the way places instead of all the usual tourist spots. Answered every question we had! Spent a lot of time with us which we really appreciated.
Our day with Colin of Rock Light Photos was wonderful! We captured amazing sunrise photos in Dead Horse Point and the gorgeous orange glow on Mesa Arch in Canyonlands. The early morning views at both locations are a must see! Colin also took us to photograph several rock art panels at Sego Canyon. This experience of seeing three different periods of petroglyphs and pictographs all in one area was fantastic. He knew just where to take us. He was very friendly and easy going. Colin was very knowledgeable of the entire area and took us to great photography locations. He also took us to several locations in the Arches for late afternoon and beautiful sunset photos. I would definitely do another trip with him! The pricing was very reasonable and we covered a lot of area. It was well worth it.
Prompt friendly service. Very knowledgeable and experienced in the area and photography. Colin gave us great spots to take great pictures with lots of options in each venue we stopped. I would do it again.
We had an informative hummer guide for a day of riding the back roads of Canyonlands and Arches. Fun, not for the faint hearted!
While I appreciate the 5 stars, this review should have been for another company. No gas-guzzling Hummers on Rock Light Photo Tours! Just main park roads and photo expertise!
