Great show. Bring sunglasses if you’re going at sunset. Great history of the city with a spooky element.
Fun and interesting tour. Just enough spooky, history, walking, and an inexpensive adventure for everyone. Animated, dramatic guide made it extra fun.
Chris was extremely knowledgeable and a phenomenal storyteller. We were able to explore Victoria and the historical rich history first hand.
Victoria is very nice city. It was a little cheesy but it was a beautiful night for a walk and some interesting stories/history.
This was so fun! I liked how we started right in and that the walk wasn’t too strenuous. The stories were great and you could either believe or not. Our group was made up of mostly folks who don’t believe in ghosts, but we all still had a good time.
Absolutely lovely afternooon with a guide who embodied all the best of a true storyteller, showcasing an abiding love for a town we were new to, with plenty of laughs and thrills. Even though a brisk pace was set, it was also easy to keep up for me, even with my cane.
Chris was a phenomenal story teller who shared specific and authentic ghost stories throughout the historic area. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
We have been on many of these Ghostly Walks and are always impressed that the content changes. Even familiar stories are given a fresh take by each of the Guides. I have only one criticism: The stories are rather too long. We don't get to do much walking. There's a lot of standing. And in one hour we only got about five or six stories. I would advise making the stories shorter and including many more. I know there are plenty, and we'd see more of the city. We were taking friends from the UK who enjoyed it because it was all new to them, but I had to fill them in afterwards on some of the best stories that were not included. I also would recommend making it more atmospheric if the guides wore something like a cape as John Adams used to do.
Thanks for bringing your guests from the UK on one of our Ghostly Walks. We’re glad that they enjoyed the stories. Thanks for your feedback about the stories being too long and not enough walking around. We have toyed with the idea of wearing caps. John and a few other guides wear them for the special Halloween and Christmas Ghostly Walks.
Signed up for this historical ghost walk and it was alright. Fun way to spend an hour. Would suggest going at the 9pm walk vs 7:30pm walk to experience more atmosphere. Guide was nice and spoke loud enough (had a speaker) over the hustle and bustle of the people around us. Wasn’t very spooky. There are different walks with different stories. Would have enjoyed more morbid ghostly tales. Felt a bit juvenile.
It’s great to know that you found our Ghostly Walks to be a fun way to spend an hour. “Spooky” is definitely a subjective word. We strive to find the right balance between scary and family friendly. We’re sorry that the stories weren’t morbid enough for you. It sounds like you were hoping for the tour to take place in the dark. We always suggest to our guests that if they would prefer to take our tours when it is darker, that they check the time of Sun set and book accordingly.
