Umbrella Alley – Una vivace strada a Penang, Malesia, decorata con ombrelli colorati appesi sopra. Popolare per foto, street art e un'atmosfera allegra.
La ‘Via dell’Armonia’ costruita nel XVIII secolo conosciuta anche come Pitt Street è una testimonianza della Malesia. Caratterizzati da quattro importanti edifici religiosi si ergono solidamente lungo questa strada sono il Tempio della Dea della Misericordia, la Moschea di Kapitan Keling, il Tempio di Sri Mariamman e la Chiesa di San Giorgio. Dalla posizione di questi edifici, si può dire che questo era un luogo aperto a tutte le comunità del mondo.
Questo santuario buddista in stile thailandese ospita un enorme Buddha reclinabile, draghi mosaici e altre statue.

La strada inizia dalla chiesa di San Giorgio gestita dagli anglicani sono stati costruiti dalla Compagnia britannica delle Indie orientali nel 1819 ed è noto per essere l’edificio più antico di Penang. Costruito con un'architettura greca, l'interno è costituito da un fresco blu pastello con pavimenti in marmo e all'esterno dell'edificio principale sul terreno della chiesa si trova un memoriale a Sir Francis Light in forma di tempio greco.
Un tradizionale villaggio Cinese sul lungomare costruito su palafitte di legno. I visitatori possono passeggiare lungo le passerelle in legno, vedere le case locali, godere della vista sul mare e sperimentare il patrimonio vivente di Penang. È anche un ottimo posto per le foto
I monumenti storici più iconici di George Town, Fort Cornwallis risale alla fine del XVIII secolo. Questa fortezza a forma di stella offre uno spaccato del passato coloniale di Penang, con cannoni ben conservati, mostre informative e viste panoramiche sul mare

Pros: Our driver was on time, opened doors and was friendly. He offered water and was flexible. He even pointed out his childhood school as we drove by. Cons: This is not a typical guided tour. It feels more like a knowledgeable taxi driver that drops you off at highlights and picks you up when you are ready. The tour didn’t follow a schedule, so we didn’t see as much as we had hoped. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive five hours either. He left after three and a half. At one point, we waited almost 20 minutes for a pickup. Two of the sites in the description were not even mentioned nor were we given the option to visit them. We expected more.
We are glad to hear that you were happy with the driver’s punctuality, friendliness, and service during the tour. We would like to clarify that your booking was for a 4-hour tour. At present, we have updated the package to 5 hours, but at the time of your reservation, the duration was 4 hours and the payment was made for 4 hours only. & booking was for a driver-only service, and no licensed tour guide was included. The driver’s role is to provide transportation to the attractions safely and comfortably. A guided tour service needs to be booked separately. Regarding the attractions mentioned, the driver tries to cover the highlights within the booked duration. If time is limited, some places may not be possible to visit. We truly value your feedback and will review this internally to improve our service and communication in the future.
This is a great personal tour to take while in Penang as it covers both fun, history, street art and food and drink. The visit to the Upside Down Museum was really enjoyable. Our driver Alan was an excellent and knowledgeable guide.

It was nice to see, but We bought pictures which look nice the staff made as memory. As i download from my-snapp the pictures the quality, was not what we saw in this plase. This picture was not usable at all.

This was a relaxed tour filled with amazing things to see and do. The Tropical Spice Garden was a serene encounter with nature that shared information in a fun way. Following this with the visit to Entopia was a real contrast. We were amazed by the magnitude of the display and the depth of detail presented in such an enjoyable way. Overall our tour with Pesona and Mr Ong as our driver/guide was a Penang Island experience we will remember with pleasure.

An informal wedding at the Spice Gardens & the beautiful butterflies at the Butterfly Farm. Perhaps less merchandising at the Butterfly Farm would have been welcome.

Nice bug experience. I think younger children would get more out of entopia than our older ones. I feel the place needs more butterflies 🦋 but has a nice balance of other insects and reptiles . Overall a good experience. Tickets probably slightly over priced for what you get .
I don’t like butterflies and insects but still managed to enjoy this place. There weren’t that many butterflies around as it had just rained. Fun for kids too!
