È meglio fare questa esperienza durante i tuoi primi giorni qui poiché imparerai molto sulla zona, sulle cose da fare qui e sui luoghi da visitare, così potrai decidere cosa vuoi fare per il resto della tua vacanza qui. Mi piace condividere la mia conoscenza sugli animali, su questa zona e sulla sua cultura unica. Visiteremo prima The Cliff, un luogo speciale con viste mozzafiato sull'oceano. Durante l'escursione di andata e ritorno potremmo vedere bradipi e scimmie. Al Cliff puoi scattare delle foto fantastiche, è l'occasione perfetta per Instagram. Poi andremo in giro per la città così potrai sapere dov'è cosa. Visiteremo poi l'Iguana Project, un'area protetta dove vengono allevate le iguane per essere rilasciate nella foresta. Questo progetto è in una fattoria Bri Bri, quindi imparerai anche a conoscere le piante medicinali e la cultura Bri Bri. Dopodiché andremo alle cascate, un luogo magico nel bosco, dove ci rilasseremo e nuoteremo nella piscina con cascata, condivideremo drink e parleremo di Puerto Viejo e Pura Vida!

La nostra prima destinazione è The Cliff. Questo è il luogo in cui è possibile scattare foto magnifiche. Faremo una piccola escursione su un sentiero nella giungla della spiaggia fino a questo bellissimo punto panoramico. La passeggiata non è difficile né lunga, ci sono solo due facili gradini e la cima è mozzafiato con una vista mozzafiato sull'oceano e sulla zona. Questa è un'opportunità fotografica perfetta per Instagram!
Orario di raccolta intorno alle 10:00, trasporto a Cocles. Verrò a prenderti al tuo Hotel o Airbnb nella zona di Puerto Viejo in una comoda auto con aria condizionata e inizieremo la nostra esperienza
Guideremo attraverso e ci fermeremo brevemente in alcune località della città di Puerto Viejo dove condividerò con voi i miei consigli su ristoranti, luoghi da visitare, cose da fare e anche cose pratiche come bancomat, banche, noleggi ecc. Imparerai quali spiagge sono ottime per fare surf, che per nuotare e che per fare snorkeling, dove sono i posti dove si possono avvistare animali, dov'è il miglior ristorante caraibico e dove andare se hai voglia di sushi, e dove ballare tutta la notte. Imparerai anche la cultura locale, lo stile di vita e la storia di Puerto Viejo.
Trasporto alla riserva indigena di Kekoldi
Trasporto alle cascate di Bri Bri con una breve sosta al supermercato dove comprerò delle bevande da condividere alle cascate.
Poi andremo al Progetto Iguana, che alleva e rilascia il santuario dell'iguana verde, situato nella zona indigena Bri Bri di Kekoldi, dove puoi vedere iguane libere nelle vicinanze. Imparerai anche la cultura di Bri Bri e le piante medicinali utilizzate da BriBris e incontrerai Juana, la signora BriBri che ha avviato questo progetto.
Poi andremo alla cascata Bri Bri, il luogo magico nel bosco, dove ci rilasseremo, nuoteremo nella piscina a cascata, bevremo birre (o qualche altra bevanda) e parleremo di Puerto Viejo e Costa Rica. Ci sono circa 80 gradini giù per la cascata, per lo più piccoli. Portate acqua, crema solare, spray antizanzare, scarpe/sandali piuttosto che infradito, scarpe da acqua e asciugamano se li avete

Maja's tour is great because she's been a local for a long time, and also has an outsider's perspective as someone who moved here from another country. Super helpful if you aren't fluent in Spanish and are looking to get acquainted with the area during the first part of your trip. I'm so glad we did this tour on our second day in town!
Maya was amazing! Knew the history and knew all the write places! She took us on a walk at first and could tell us so many cool things in just that walk!

Maya's tour of Puerto Viejo is great - especially on your first day in town. She provides a through overview of different places in town and helpful tips on maximizing your experience. We started out driving around town and learning about both the history of the area as well as current day tips like which restaurants and grocery stores she recommends and why. The walk to The Cliff is over easy terrain and Maya provides interesting information about the local flora and fauna. Although it was raining the day of our tour, the view from The Cliff was still pretty. Maya even worked with us to reschedule part of the tour due to poor weather. The Kekoldi BriBri Iguana Project is very interesting. The BriBri woman who lives on and runs the property has many interesting stories about their culture and how they interact with the plants and animals around them. We made a quick stop at the grocery store and Maya got us drinks of our choice before heading to the waterfall. There is an area to change into a bathing suit when you arrive. The hike to the waterfall was well maintained and had steps along the path. It was steep but not too strenuous. Swimming in the pool at the base of the waterfall was chilly but refreshing! The man running the entrance was a character who sang, played the piano, and offered us "Coco Loco" (a tasty coconut drink with rum) or "Coco Boring" (without rum). Maya brough us back to the meeting spot around 2:30 in the afternoon. It was a really fun day!
Such a great guide, she was on time to pick us up, she was very informative about the history of puerto viejo and she has a great eye for spotting animals. I loved every part about it
Maya was a great host and tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about Puerto Viejo and I learned a lot of new things. Expect a lot of hiking, nature seeking, and chill vibes. Nothing extravagant! The Bri Bri Waterfall was soothing.
Maya is a great tour guide! She was prompt in her pick up times and keeping us on schedule without rushing. We learned so much about the history of Costa Rica and Puerto Viejo. It was a great experience to see PV in the eyes of someone who lives here- so many animals and cool facts to learn. Highly recommend to take this tour right when you arrive! Maya was amazing tour guide. We immediately felt comfortable with her. We're so happy we did this tour the first day , her knowledge of the history of Puerto Viejo, plants, animals and area helped us get familiar and settled in the days to follow. Spending time with the indigenous Bri Bri family was something we will never forget. We were invited inside their home for tea and a very special unique fruit sample. The waterfall was gorgeous and refreshing. Highly recommend this tour.
