I had a great experience with Nick for the game drive and rhino walk. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly, and Nick was friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the experience. The game drive and especially the rhino walk were fantastic experiences, and I really enjoyed the whole day. I’d definitely recommend booking with Nick. We saw every animal in the park besides buffaloes
It was a pleasure having you with us for the game drive and rhino walk. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience, especially the rhino walk and the incredible wildlife encounters. We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation, and we look forward to welcoming you again for another unforgettable safari experience.
I think that we were unlucky with this one. Granted we did see a couple of giraffes, elephants and zebra from afar. We also did the short walk to the rhinos and saw them from about 30 metres which was excellent. The overall trip was not enjoyable though which was due to the poor staff. We were picked up on time from our lodge in an unusually old taxi with a broken windshield. Two other couples were already in the vehicle which was fine and we were driven to the Zambia border where we were directed by the taxi driver to go into a building to show our passport. When we came out 5 minutes later he was gone and we were left standing at the border point. After about five minutes a taxi arrived and collected the other 2 couples who were heading off on a separate trip. We were left for about another 10 minutes until a man turned up in a Nissan Juke and said he had come to collect us as the safari vehicle was running late. He had no ID. A little reluctantly we got into his car and we headed off into Zambia. About 5 km along the road we stopped and he stated that the safari vehicle was coming to meet us. Most safari vehicles were newish and clean and tidy. What turned up was an old pick up with the top of the cab still sawed off and a dirty safar section on the back. The driver/ guide had also brought his 6 year old son to train him to be a guide??? The guides spotter sat in the back and spoke about how he resented Zimbabwe for claiming the falls when they truly belonged to Zambia. He also spoke about how he didn’t like the tourists spending money in Zimbabwe. Not really a welcoming or relaxing experience. Anyway it turned out that the spotter couldn’t name the big 5 and the guide stated that it was impossible to tame an elephant. They took 70 dollars cash to enter the park although I don’t know where it was paid to and no receipt. Snacks on the trip was a banana and spotter was uncomfortable throughout. We saw the animals and were unlucky as all other people seemed to be in nice modern vehicles with attentive guards.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologise that your experience did not meet our usual standards. Regarding the US$70, this was for two guests at US$35 per person, not a US$70 park entrance fee. The US$35 per person included US$10 park/conservation fees and US$25 for the transfer from Zimbabwe into Zambia. We are also very sorry about the transportation, the condition of the safari vehicle, and the guide bringing his six-year-old son on the game drive. This is not our normal practice, and as management, we have addressed these concerns with our team. We also apologise for the inappropriate comments made by the spotter, which do not reflect our company values. We truly appreciate your honest feedback. We take these concerns seriously and are committed to improving our services to ensure this does not happen again. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to improve. Management, Bush Wilderness Safaris
This is a very well organised trip, with help getting through immigration on either side, with drivers making sure to hand us over to each other as we crossed the border. The game drive was so good, with sightings of many animals and some spectacular views to photograph them in. Facts and details extended beyond just the animals, but also included identification of plants and their characteristics. All fascinating. Finally we went to see the rhinos, escorted by armed guards, who protect the animals 24/7. I was shocked to learn from them that there are only 12 left in the country, 10 in their reserve, and 2 in Lusaka. We saw 7 white rhino, which were only a few feet away. Drivers were wonderful. I thoroughly recommend this, particularly as it helps their conservation efforts.
We’re delighted to hear you had such a memorable experience. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the game drive, learned about the wildlife and plants, and had the rare opportunity to see the white rhinos up close. Your support plays an important role in helping protect these incredible animals, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. We look forward to welcoming you again for another unforgettable adventure.

Our morning safari was great! In addition to seeing a herd of white rhino up close, we saw hippo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and even a crocodile among other things! Felt very safe the entire time. Pickup, border crossing, and dropoff were all extremely smooth, and our driver was even kind enough to let us walk across the bridge overlooking the falls on the way back - really appreciated it because we weren't in town long and this bridge provides a fantastic view of the falls. Just remember to bring enough cash for the border crossing because its not included in the ticket price. Highly recommend this rhino tour as a great activity to do while staying in Victoria Falls! (Fyi the photos I've uploaded are only those from my phone, but I took many way better pictures on my camera - definitely a great trip!!)

Be aware of the additional costs. Pickup & park entry. The organization was very good. Communication was equally good. The guys on the safari were very nice.

We had an absolutely spectacular rhino-tracking excursion and it was one of the highlights of our trip. During the first part of the safari, we saw a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, zebras, impalas, and many other animals, which made for a fantastic experience from the very beginning. The best part came at the end when we went to see the rhinos. Accompanied by two experienced rangers, we tracked them on foot, which was an incredible and unforgettable experience. Being able to observe these magnificent animals so closely in their natural habitat was truly amazing. The service throughout the excursion was excellent. The pick-up service was punctual and well organized, and the guides were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable at all times. They also provided drinks and snacks during the tour, which was a very thoughtful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a unique and memorable wildlife experience. Truly outstanding!

Upon our Inaugural visit to South Africa, Bush Wilderness made it UNFORGETTABLE!! The Entire Staff made it Well Worth The Effort. I would recommend speaking to Nick, to “Get The Job” done😊
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted that your visit to Livingstone, Zambia, was made unforgettable with Bush Wilderness Safaris. Your kind words about our team, especially Nick, mean a great deal to us. We truly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back for another incredible adventure in the near future!
Getting close to the rhinos was awesome. The balance of the drive included view of numerous zebra and impala as well as cape buffaloes, wildebeest and giraffe. Be mindful this trip doesn’t have any chance of seeing predators but plenty of herbivores. I did not enjoy so many people involved in getting us from the hotel and through the drive. Too many mouths to feed. But they were all friendly and helpful.
We truly appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the game drive, especially your close encounter with the rhinos — a memorable highlight. Regarding the comment about “too many mouths to feed,” we would like to clarify that the different team members involved are part of the required cross-border procedures between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Each person has a specific role to ensure a safe, legal, and smooth experience. We would also like to kindly clarify that tipping is entirely optional. We do not expect or require tips from our guests — it is always at the client’s discretion and based on their satisfaction.
