Questa splendida villa del XVII secolo fu originariamente costruita per il cardinale Scipione Borghese, appassionato collezionista d'arte e mecenate dell'epoca barocca. Oggi, ospita una collezione mozzafiato di sculture, dipinti e antichità.. La Galleria Borghese è un vero gioiello, con una ricca collezione che spazia dalle incantevoli sculture del Bernini (Apollo e Dafne, Plutone e Proserpina) ai capolavori di Caravaggio, Raffaello e Tiziano. Great tour of the Borghese gallery. Great guide. Perhaps a bit too much minutia snd not enough of an overview. But so much better than just walking through on your own
Silvia was excellent. Really knows her stuff and answered all our questions and was infectious with her passion. Made the gallery come to life for us. Very much recommend.
Amazing gallery of artwork with impressive pieces by Bernini and Raphael. Our tour guide Simone was very nice. They fitted us in at the last moment even though we didn’t have much time that we could spare. Great communication from the tour company and Simone made sure to entertain even my seven year old with tracking the numbers of dragons and eagles that she saw. Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer!
