Itinerario
Inizieremo con il venirvi a prendere al vostro Alloggio (o punto di incontro), dove vi daremo un caloroso benvenuto e un breve orientamento. Sulla strada per Furnas, faremo una breve sosta per goderci la bellissima costa di Vila Franca e scattare foto all'isolotto di Vila Franca do Campo (Princess Ring).
La “Lagoa das Furnas”, naturalmente incastonata all’interno di una caldera (un vulcano inattivo), si distingue come una delle principali attrazioni per turisti, escursionisti, biologi e birdwatcher, grazie alla sua diversità di specie endemiche ed esotiche di flora e fauna che vagano liberamente in tutta la zona (e non sono pericolose). Essendo una zona così ricca di attività geotermiche, gli abitanti del posto hanno ideato un modo unico per sfruttarla per cucinare un piatto Portoghese caratteristico: il “Cozido das Furnas”, un misto di carni, verdure e verdure a radice che vengono cotte lentamente sottoterra per circa 6 ore;
Come parte dell'esperienza culinaria di questo tour, assaggeremo il famoso stufato cucinato con calore geotermico - menzionato in precedenza - in un ristorante tradizionale locale, come parte di un pasto completo: antipasto, piatto principale e dessert, oltre a bevande calde e fredde (sono disponibili opzioni vegetariane e pasti per bambini). Con acque naturali ad una temperatura di circa 39°C (102°F), circondate da una splendida vegetazione e arricchite dal canto degli uccelli, questo è un momento di relax e contemplazione che vi porterà lontano dalla routine quotidiana e dalle preoccupazioni durante l'ora d'oro del giorno, tra il crepuscolo e il tramonto. Queste acque ricche di ferro sono conosciute come un ottimo trattamento per la pelle, ma non sono adatte per capelli tinti. Evita le code d'attesa: penseremo noi alla prenotazione per te. Rientreremo lungo il lato nord dell'isola in un'atmosfera sicura e rilassata. Durante questi 45 minuti di auto, puoi fare un pisolino e / o ottenere raccomandazioni su altri luoghi da visitare e cose da fare per il resto del tuo soggiorno. Passeremo accanto alle piantagioni di tè, che saranno chiuse a quell’ora.

Si prega di notare che i pickup a Ribeira Grande verrà addebitato un costo aggiuntivo di 10 € alla fine di questo tour, per ogni prenotazione non a persona.

- Il tempo rimanente del Tour (45 + 45 minuti di differenza) è il tempo minimo di guida tra le nostre destinazioni. Non preoccuparti, avremo molto da vedere anche mentre guidi.
- Si prega di portare costumi da bagno e un telo da bagno per le sorgenti termali (i tessuti di colore chiaro si macchieranno). Noleggio asciugamani e altri extra disponibili presso le strutture termali.

Ivo was an awesome tour guide for our group of six. He was so knowledgeable about the island's history, plant and animal life, and Furnas in general where we did our tour. Ivo also followed up after the tour with recommendations of places to go. Everything was well paced and we had a fabulous time!!

This is a Must-Do! Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about local history and culture, and took us to beautiful scenic spots we never would have found on our own. The dinner was delicious, and visiting the hot springs at nighttime was perfect!!! We went on our last night of our trip and it was exactly the great end of a trip we needed. Highly recommend!

Ivo took us to visit the Lagoon that was an interesting site, then we move to Furnas. We had an early spot on the hot spring so the lights were not on yet but still was a lovely experience in a beautiful setting. The water has a perfect temperature of 39 degrees and you can relax in 4 different depth pools. There are additional costs of 2euro for the locker and 1 euro for the hot shower. After that we went for the dinner with the typical stew cooked with the volcano heat. The final stop of the tour was at the calderas, with the steam raising in the night sky, creating the mystic experience. A full experience that finished past 11 pm! Thank you Ivo!

A fabulous tour from Ivo. Transport was comfortable and spacious. The knowledge of the island, the geology and the culture was exceptional and easy to understand. We got to see so much more than we expected. The entrance to the thermal baths was extra (understandably as price changes are out of Ivo’s control). We bathed first and then went for a superb volcano cooked meal. This was all inclusive, including drinks and was exceptional value for money. The night finished with a tour of some local water drinking fountains, each offering different healing properties. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent experience! Very new van for transport. Knowledgeable guide who answered questions. Hot springs were beautiful and clean. Delicious meal with great wine and dessert. The guide, Ivo, was very friendly. His mother baked a treat for the end! Such a fun evening!
