Full Day Turquoise Waters Millpu

We made an excursion to Aguas Turquesas with Huancaraylla agency and had a great day. The Guide was very Pro and close, explaining details that have made our visit more complete. We chose this agency in Ayacucho because we received very friendly attention and explained in detail what we would do during the excursion. We would definitely recommend it and if we had more days in Ayacucho, we would have made other excursions they propose.

It is a strenuous journey for those like me who have a sedentary life. But the worth it, I'd do it again without thinking. Not recommended for people with knee or mobility problems or older adults. The delicious and super fresh trout, the very cheap price. Adult entrance 8 suns. Price for the beauty of the place.

The excursion to the turquoise waters of Millpu was wonderful, they are professionals! But the thing that I appreciated most was the commitment and willingness on the part of Diana, the owner, to help me organize the trip to Cusco without earning anything! Really thoughtful!

Do not take this tour! We payed extra to include the Campanayuq waterfalls. Almost $500 in total. They do not provide the drivers with identification, so we had to pay for their entrances. We did not have guides, just drivers. On our way from Campanayuq to Millpu, the drivers took a very dangerous route, trough an unpaved road, next to a cliff, when it was raining, and they did not know where they were going, as they kept asking for instructions. We told them several times we were not comfortable and they dismiss us, telling us the company forced them to take that road. We told the owner/manager and they dismiss us as well, telling us the drivers knew what they where doing. When we arrived to the turquoise waters, as we were exiting the car, it was when the drivers conveniently told us that the waters were not turquoise, but rather dark from the rain. Finally, the company told them we were complaining, while we were still on the trip. There are so many companies, do not use this one.

Beautiful colours of the natural pools of Millpu and scenery was the highlight. Having said this and given 5 stars. I would like to prewarn travellers that it’s very tiring trip. 3.5 hours each way, and it’s along very winding roads. So not for the faint of hearts. Also communication with the tour operator was a bit slow and on the day if we didn’t have internet we would have struggled to find our guide.

Really amazing day tour! The travel is quite far, 3 hours each way all through curvy mountains roads, but its soooo worth it! This place is stunning. Best thing about it, there aren't many people. Really nice and caring tourguide.
