La città di Petra, la capitale degli arabi nabatei, è uno dei siti archeologici più famosi al mondo, si trova a 240 km a sud della capitale Amman e a 120 km a nord della città di Aqaba Petra, sul Mar Rosso, la meraviglia del mondo è senza dubbio il tesoro più prezioso della Giordania e la più grande attrazione turistica, ed è visitato da turisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Non si sa con precisione quando fu costruita Petra, ma la città iniziò a prosperare come capitale dell'impero nabateo a partire dal I secolo a.C., che si arricchì grazie al commercio di incenso, mirra e spezie. Petra fu successivamente annessa all'Impero Romano e continuò a prosperare fino a quando un grande terremoto nel 363 d.C. distrusse gran parte della città nel IV secolo d.C.

Itinerario
Ti verremo a prendere da qualsiasi punto di Aqaba e ti guideremo fino a Petra con una breve sosta lungo il percorso. Ci vogliono circa 2 ore per raggiungere il Petra Visitors Center, dove inizieremo il nostro viaggio a piedi verso l'ottava meraviglia del mondo. Dopo aver camminato per 800 m, raggiungeremo Siq (un canale di roccia lungo 1200 metri, largo da 3 a 12 metri e alto fino a 80 metri). Il Siq si apre sulla facciata più magnifica di Petra: il Tesoro, o Al Khazna. Dopo il Tesoro, il sentiero si allarga in un'ampia Strada delle Facciate fiancheggiata su entrambi i lati dalle tombe che caratterizzano l'intero sito. La Strada delle Facciate ci conduce al teatro da 5.000 posti, scavato proprio nel mezzo di una grande area cimiteriale: di fronte al teatro, sul lato occidentale di Jebel Khubtha, raggiungiamo il nostro punto finale: le Tombe Reali. Dopo un tour delle Tombe Reali, ritorno ad Aqaba. Le restanti quattro ore sono per il trasporto.

I had an absolutely great experience.Loiy organized a mile ride and to take me to Wati Rum in the afternoon. Everything was seamless. I saw it all. Thank you. It was expensive but my time was critical. And so worth it😁
Overall the driver was very helpful, honest & clear , he saved us from a bunch of drivers who looked greedy and we definitely recommend this driver & his tours , we did tours in aqaba , even during the crisis in middle east ,he was helpful and didn't take advantage of us.

The Petra experience was an awesome trip from start to finish. Our driver Odai Hamideh "What's apped" us several days prior to the day of the trip to confirm the pickup location and time. His time was flexible because he asked us what time did we want to leave. Also we stayed in Aqaba outside of the pickup zone and he still was able to pickup us for a small fee. Once we got to Petra Odai recommended to take us around to the back entrance and go in there and end up at the main entrance when we were finished. That was a great idea because we got to see more and did not have to backtrack. Once we entered Petra we hired donkeys to take us up to the monestary and back. That was great because we covered more ground quicker. After that we continued our way through Petra taking in all of the beautiful structures along the way. Once we arrived at the Treasury we took a club car back to the entrance and that was recommended by our driver also. This is a remarkable place to visit and pictures do not do any justice. My advice is to enter in the back of Petra take the donkey for a distance and continue making your way to the main entrance because you can see more with less walking. Trip of a Lifetime!
AMAZING!! it was incredible... Petra is so breathtaking and well worth the walk! Our driver was really friendly spoke great english and was happy to stop as and when we needed. He suggested dropping us off at the end of the city, to walk back into petra, so we could see ALL of the sites not just the main treasury ( India Jones!). This took about 3hrs as a leisurely pace and saved us having to walk back another 3hrs! We were lucky, it wasn't busy at all. We got there at midday! Take plenty of water, as it's pretty dear there! There are plenty of toilets along the way to and little shops for last minute snacks. You pick up a map and follow it to see all 13 sights. Super easy! We got the Jordan pass, so this was included saving us the 50JD fee. The little market outside wasn't too pushy and let you look at leasure. As in all a fantastic day out and we'll worth the money. 10/10!
He was an awesome ride and suggested another route to take in Petra, his suggestion made our trip a whole lot better and enjoyable! I 100% recommend taking this trip!

The trip was very beautiful. We stayed at the Ayla Hotel and it was very beautiful. We visited Wadi Rum and Petra with a wonderful transportation service and the workers were nice, respectful and patient with us.
