La nostra giornata inizia con una visita a Paarl dove sarete colpiti dalla bellezza della Valle, il cielo azzurro incontaminato, i vigneti ondulati, e la Perla di Paarl in alto sopra la valle. Paarl fece notizia quando il presidente Mandela fu rilasciato dalla prigione di Groot Drakenstein (precedentemente conosciuta come prigione di Victor Verster). Ci godiamo una degustazione di vini in una delle tenute locali. Da Paarl, proseguiremo verso nord-ovest fino al bellissimo villaggio di Franschhoek, fondato nel 1688 da immigrati Francesi in fuga dalla persecuzione religiosa ugonotta in Europa. Un memoriale nella città commemora l'arrivo di questi primi coloni che hanno contribuito a sviluppare i vini ricercati da Napoleone, Bismarck e reali come Edoardo VII, il principe di Galles. Qui ci fermeremo per il pranzo e un’altra degustazione di vini presso un vigneto locale. Ci dirigeremo poi a Stellenbosch, la seconda città più antica del Sudafrica e ci godremo una degustazione finale di vini prima di tornare a Città del Capo.

The experience was very smoothly offered and the itinerary was all we could have hoped for. Three very different wineries all charming and with beautiful surroundings. The tastings were interesting with a good coverage of what flavours to experience. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our driver and guide for the trip was very helpful, friendly and informative about the history of the wine estates and also about South African culture. A very enjoyable day and we can recommend wholeheartedly to others.

Disappointing. Billed as a three winery tour, we only visited 2. We were pressured into only visiting 2 by the guide. It was clear that there was insufficient time to visit 3 wine farms. The first farm was excellent. Well prepared, we were guided through the wines and given a tour. The second at Franschhoek was poor. We were seated at a table and given 3 wines, only 3 of which were described to us. This We should receive partial reimbursement since we only visited 2 of the 3 wineries. I would not recommend this tour.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Extremely happy with the wine tasting tour and I don’t drink wine. Our guide Ivan was superb. He told us all about each area we drove through. The wine was a bonus.

Wonderful driver who was very knowledgeable accommodating and professional. Also felt very safe when he was driving. The wine tasting and pairings were everything that I imagined. Staff at wineries also knowledgeable and delightful.
Eddie, our driver and tour guide, was informative, friendly, courteous and very organised. We visited 3 wineries and had a day out that exceeded our expectations. Stellenbosch is a beautiful wine growing area and the wineries and wine were excellent.

Rico and his team made our day. Very enjoyable lots of wine, I could not drink it all. It was a long, started at 8 am from the Waterfront and we did not get back till 6 pm. Would love to go back to Stellenbosch.

I had an all day excursions the day before the wine tour and was so tired I almost cancelled. I am soooooo happy I did not. It was an amazing experience. Everything was perfect....from the tour guide to the wine to the locations. The views can not be described in words you have to see them. Absolutely Amazing! Definitely worth the money. Hopefully you will get Ashley, he was nice and informative and so patient with our small group.
