Sarai guidato a Down Town Johannesburg che un tempo era il Business Hub of Africa passando da Newtown e verso il centro città.
Il Museo dell'Apartheid, il primo nel suo genere, illustra l'ascesa e la caduta dell'apartheid. Le mostre sono state assemblate e organizzate da un team multidisciplinare di curatori, cineasti, storici e designer. Includono filmati provocatori, fotografie, pannelli di testo e manufatti che illustrano gli eventi e le storie umane che fanno parte dell'epica saga, nota come apartheid. Una serie di 22 singole aree espositive accompagna il visitatore in un drammatico viaggio emotivo che racconta la storia di un sistema sanzionato dallo stato basato sulla discriminazione razziale e sulla lotta della maggioranza per rovesciare questa tirannia. Dopo pranzo in uno dei ristoranti locali, camminiamo lungo Vilakazi Street, dove si trovano numerosi venditori che vendono i loro articoli rendendolo un paradiso dello shopping. We had a fantastic day. The tour gave us a great overview of Johannesburg and Soweto, we had a break for a very nice lunch at Sakhumzi (enough vegetarian options in the buffet to keep me happy) and then a visit to the Apartheid Museum. Mike is the perfect tour guide, highly recommended.
We loved the Soweto Tour with Tim. It was informative and impressing. He showed us the authentic heart of this place. Thank you.

Mike led this tour and was a great host. He had deep knowledge of Johannesburg and the history of South Africa, which he willingly shared. He was also very aware of my energy levels as I had just arrived in the prior day. Unfortunately the Apartheid Museum was unexpectedly closed, but Mike and Tim quickly pivoted to ensure I had a good historical perspective. Overall it was a great trip and a perfect introduction to South Africa!

It was a great tour with Tim and he has a lot of humor. His knowledge of the Zulu language is helpful as he is in good contact with all the people we met! He knows Johannesburg and Soweto extremely well And we always felt very safe with him.
