My only complaints were that I don’t think our guides microphone was working the whole time and that we didn’t stop at a beach. The rest of it was fantastic. Being able to relax and look out the window. We stopped at the sheep herding demonstration and for a modest fee learned all about the amazing dogs that herd them. We had beautiful sunny weather and enjoyed our day immensely. Highly recommend.
We had the best day with David O'Neill, our driver and guide. He was a great communicator, and had deep historical knowledge of this beautiful area. I was unsure about a 6-7 hour bus tour, but it had just the right number of stops to break up the ride. We had a beautiful, sunny, day. We were thrilled to see Skellig Michael and then have lunch a beautiful, nearby restaurant. The food choices were great and the restaurant staff worked hard to expedite things for the many hungry tourists. The sheep herding demonstration was also fascinating. David did a nice job of keeping the group on schedule. I highly recommend this tour of this absolutly gorgeous coastal area of Ireland.
We did the Ring of Kerry tour with the company. Johnny Quinlan was our driver and did a fantastic job. His commentary and story telling throughout the journey made it very enjoyable. His navigation of the country roads in the tour bus was exceptional. We had many stops along the way which allowed us to take in the beauty of the Ring of Kerry. There were also two excursions (The Kerry Bog Village Museum and a sheep dog demonstration by Tom O’Sullivan) which made the trip even better. The sheep dog demonstration was impressive to see. We would recommend this trip to anyone coming to tour the Ring of Kerry.
Tour was little long, but it covered a lot of distance and interesting sites. Good blend of bus time and short stops for pictures and food. Driver was good and knowledgeable of area and narrated the tour well.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. The bus was clean and comfortable, and the scheduled rest stops were perfectly timed. Our lunch stop was in a lovely, quaint location—I imagine the views would be spectacular on a clear day (though, unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for us!). My only critique is that the audio system in the back of the bus was inconsistent, cutting in and out throughout the trip. As a result, we missed quite a bit of the guide’s commentary, which was a shame because what we could hear was very interesting.
Me and my partner had an incredible time on the full day Ring of Kerry tour. Our guide was Johnny Quinlan and he was fantastic. Great commentary throughout and a lifelong Kerry resident. We only spent one day in Killarney and this was a great way to spend it I think. Definitely worth your time.
John O’Neill our driver was great craic, as well as informative! It’s hard not to like the views in Ireland and using the bus is definitely a better way to see them than by car…especially for the one who may be driving! Thoroughly enjoyed the sheepdog at work session.
Johnny Quinlan, was our driver/guide, he was very professional in his job. On the day we went on the tour he had to overcome two serious accidents which he had to take diversions of the main ring of Kerry route. Johnny is friendly ,helpful and can't do enough to help all passengers on his bus, excellent service Johnny.
Wow!! What an experience!! Johnny Quinlin was our tour guide. He is from the area and has deep family roots. We ran into quite a bit of hiccups and he smoothly navigated us through them all! We stopped for a quick Irish coffee at the village and it was so delicious! At this time, Johnny found out there had been a near fatal accident on the road to ring of Kerry. He quickly got in touch with his contacts to see about taking another route to get us there. We stopped at the sheep/dog show, which was one of my favorite stops. It’s a family owned farm showing how he used the dogs to herd sheep. It was truly amazing! Johnny informed us we would be taking the detour. On the narrow roads we ran into a “stand off” with traffic coming the other way. Johnny got out to notify the drivers and they detoured into driveways and little spots to allow the bus to cross. He was efficient and calm. The ring of Kerry was stunning! Lunch was served and was just “okay” and quite pricey. I’m sure it is one of the only options to get a large group fed. We were working our way back to Killarney when another road closure occurred due to an accident up ahead. Johnny was able to turn the bus around and took another new route. He remained calm and continued the tour with lots of history of commentary as if there was no hitch. He made a couple additional stops to break up the extra hour we had to add to the trip. He was absolutely amazing and the tour was fabulous!! This company is very lucky to have him. He was able make the trip an amazing experience despite the road closures and new routes. Book the tour! You will not be disappointed!
Great tour much thanks to our guide David O’Neill. Funny and informativ! Well worth the price!
