L'imperatore Jahangir costruì il suo celebre Shalimar Bagh, il suo progetto da sogno per compiacere la sua regina. Ampliò l'antico giardino nel 1619 in un giardino reale e lo chiamò "Farah Baksh" ("il delizioso"). Lo costruì per sua moglie Nur Jahan (‘luce del mondo’)
Il Nishat Bagh è un giardino a 12 terrazze situato vicino al famoso lago Dal di Srinagar. Fu costruito dal fratello maggiore dell'imperatrice Noor Jahan di nome Asif Khan che progettò anche la disposizione dei giardini ed è aperto nell'anno 1633.. Il giardino si trova sulle rive del lago Dal con la montagna Zabarwan come sfondo
Questo è uno dei giardini moghul costruito nel 1632 d.C. intorno a una sorgente da Ali Mardan Khan, un governatore dell'imperatore moghul Shah Jahan. Era un regalo per suo figlio maggiore, il principe Dara Shikoh.
Questo tempio è dedicato a Lord Shiva ed è ritenuto uno dei più antichi santuari della Valle del Kashmir. Prende il nome dal grande filosofo, Shankaracharya, che visitò la valle circa 10 secoli fa.
Visiteremo la moschea più famosa di Srinagar. Secondo le credenze locali, ospita Moi-e-Muqqadas – i capelli sacri della barba del profeta Muhammad. La Moschea di Hazratbal si distingue per essere l'unica moschea a cupola di Srinagar, che mostra una miscela di stili architettonici moghul e kashmiri. La sua suggestiva facciata in marmo bianco e l'ambiente sereno contribuiscono al suo status di luogo di culto e riflessione tranquillo.
Prenderemo una Shikara o barca di legno e pedaleremo sul lago Dal, che è un"gioiello nella corona del Kashmir". Il lago è famoso per le sue case galleggianti colorate che offrono sistemazioni uniche e sono decorate in modo intricato e offrono uno sguardo sullo stile di vita tradizionale del Kashmir.

I been using 5 senses for other tours in india and they have been great. So i decided to use them for Kashmir the guide and driver were amazing. When the gondola was broken the guide gave me the option to go to any other destination i wanted to go in Kashmir. Also the guide saw that i like local foods and took me to try different local specialties. The guide was very flexible and available when i needed it was a true custom and private tour. We covered every site i wanted to see and i still had time to relax and be on my own.
Our driver Khursheed Bhai & tour guide Meer Nissar picked us up punctually. It was a gloomy & a rainy day so we didn’t expect much from this tour. But wait ! As we start the climb to Srinagar, there were white flakes on tree leaves. Could they be snow? Oh yes, as we drove higher, there was snowfall making the green tree leaves & mountains white. As we reached Gulmarg, we enjoyed walking & playing on deep snow. We were part of the many who admired Mother Nature at its best. We saw many people making a living as well, selling, buying & bargaining for the best price. Personally it was “ a dream come true “ since a friend who comes from Kashmir told me 35 years ago the beauty of the mountains & lakes of his birthplace.I am so thankful that my dream came true. The next day, Nissar took us to the gardens, mosques, one with the relic, hair, of Prophet Mohamed PBUH & Dal Lake boat ride. Nissar took us to a church, even if it was not on our itinerary. Nissar is a very patient & knowledgeable tour guide. He narrated & elaborated on many places & things that we saw.He speaks fluent English. Our safety was his concern, literally guiding us on slippery paths & climbs. Safety for his clients is his first priority. We are glad & happy to have Khursheed as our driver & Nissar as our guide. We had an incredible time in Srinagar with 5 Senses Tours. Our guide and driver were both amazing people and made sure we hadna lovely time. The 2 gardens and the Dal lake were stand out features of this tour. The landscape is unforgettable and the overall experience was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful time in Srinagar. A clean and comfortable car picked us from our hotel. Our guide Nissar was fantastic. He helped us get the best of our short visit to Kashmir. The dal lake was surreal. We also enjoyed the Shalimar and Nishat gardens. We go back with unforgettable memories I would highly recommend this company.
