Il Parco Nazionale del Tarangire è famoso principalmente per l'abbondanza di baobab secolari e grandi famiglie di elefanti che si radunano nelle vicinanze della principale fonte d'acqua, il fiume Tarangire. Oltre agli elefanti e ai loro genitori, il Tarangire ospita zebre, giraffe, iene, facoceri, bufali e molti altri predatori e ungulati. Il parco sarà anche una delizia per gli appassionati di uccelli. Più di 550 specie di uccelli che abitano nel Parco Nazionale del Tarangire offrono ampie opportunità per il birdwatching: uccelli speroni dal collo giallo dal piumaggio brillante, averle coronate bianche e tessitori dal collo nero sono tra gli avvistamenti più frequenti qui. Vaste praterie ondulate, fitti cespugli di acacia, baobab e palme che caratterizzano il paesaggio unico del Tarangire lasceranno un'impronta duratura nella tua memoria.

Itinerario
Partiremo da Moshi la mattina presto dopo colazione e ci dirigeremo direttamente al Parco Nazionale del Tarangire. Il paesaggio del parco è maestoso; punteggiato da colossali termitai, manguste e antichi baobab, oltre alla savana dorata. Il parco ha una fornitura d'acqua tutto l'anno ed è per questo che è così ricco di fauna selvatica. Il parco ospita oltre 550 specie di uccelli, tra cui il più grande del mondo, lo struzzo Maasai. Avrai una splendida vista dal tetto aperto del tuo 4x4, quindi prepara la fotocamera per giraffe, facoceri, impala, ghepardi, manguste, bufali e babbuini. Guarda a livello degli alberi per individuare uno dei famosi leopardi rampicanti del Tarangire. Vedrai branchi di elefanti di tutte le età; Potresti anche avvistare un maestoso elefante maschio che viaggia da solo. Dopo una sosta per un gustoso pranzo, trascorrerai il pomeriggio di nuovo in 4x4, godendoti tutte le immagini e i suoni di questo piccolo parco perfetto. Ti riporteremo a Moshi/Arusha per arrivare al fresco della sera.

Moshi Tours & Transfer took such good care of me during my time in Tanzania. I did 2 trips with them, Tarangire was amazing. My guide Timothy went above and beyond so I could see as many animals as possible. I saw elephants, lions, giraffes ostriches, warthogs it was like the Lion King came to life. Lunch was delicious. The experience was amazing, Nick was great at organising and Timothy my guide was exceptional. I will only book with these guys when I'm next in Tanzania.
Nick and Nick made sure that my day out was a special occasion. They met me the night before at my hotel for an in depth briefing(over a beer of course) on what to wear and what to expect. The day itself was even better than expected. The highlight being watching a pair of mating lions!! Lots of elephants, zebras and giraffes. Not forgetting the prey animals, wildebeests, gazelle etc. I would highly recommend this Tour with Nick. Asante Sana.
We booked a 1 day safari in Tarangire the day before. Nik came to visit us that evening to explain the details in person. We were picked up from our accommodation in Moshi the next morning for a great safari, and our guide even raced through the park to get us a rare leopard sighting! We saw lions, leopard, cheetahs, zebra, giraffes, elephants, ostriches, antelopes, gazelle, water buks, dikdiks and many types of bird. The lunch was tasty and the guide was great at pointing out animals and sights. Would definitely recommend these guys!
