Itinerario

Good weather is everything! We were fortunate to have BOTH good weather and luck on our side on Thursday 02-July-2026. Appreciated a designated table for our group. Captain and crew were great throughout. Saw MANY sea animals including the Humpback and Fin Whales, Otters, Sea Lions, Puffin & other birds, and THE Orcas VERY up close - the captain hadn’t seen anything like this in 13 years apparently. The glaciers and views were to die for. Overall, all the stars aligned for an unforgettable tour.
Wow, to see a glacier up close is incredible. We weee even able to see it calf. So much wildlife, seals, sea otters, sea lions, orca whales, humpback whales, porpoises, puffins, mountain goats. The wildlife did not disappoint and the captain and crew were great about pointing things out, stopping to enjoy it, and sharing pictures and videos. We had a wonderful day.
Great relaxing ride to see wild life and glaciers
The captain and crew were outstanding! We saw so much wildlife: bald eagles, whales, black bear, sea lions & seals! We go so close to the glaciers, it was a truly a spectacular day. Highly recommend, a must do while in beautiful Seward, Alaska!
Fantastic experience. We saw so much wildlife. It far exceeded my expectations
Great tour and guides, all the information provided was accurate and very easy process. Food provided and drinks all through the tour was great experience.
Great experience! Very helpful staff on board who took care of safety and convenience. Captain provided expert knowledge and information through the journey and went out of the way for ideal wildlife viewing.
Cabin was not heated, so I was cold the whole trip. Every tip the door to the deck was opened it hot colder. We were assigned to table 27, the smell of the toilets were nauseating and the toilet floors were wet. Not faulting the cruise, but not enough wild life.
This was our favorite activity while in Alaska, and Major Marine really has it together re: customer experience. We took the 7.5 hour Kenai Fjords National Park Tour on the Spirit of Adventure. First, the check-in process was quick and easy. We were able to park in the paid lot just across the street from Harbor 360 Hotel. We were quickly checked in and provided with instructions and a map of the short walk to the pier. There are clean restrooms available in the hotel lobby. We arrived early, so we were able to stop for a quick breakfast at one of the restaurants that was open for breakfast. We then continued on to the pier. There was a bit of a wait to board, but this was because each group was being checked in individually, provided with their assigned seats and given the chance to ask questions. It’s really brilliant that everyone is given an assigned table/seat for the day so that you are able to settle in, have a place for your things, etc. Then you feel free to get up and move about as you like. I was a little hesitant to book a 7.5 hour cruise, but I’m so glad I did. The time went by quickly and we saw so very much! We saw humpbacks bubble net feeding (amazing!), humpbacks spouting and diving (flipping up their tails), many orcas, sea lions, puffins, common murre (penguin family) and many other birds. The scenery was gorgeous - we were able to get super close to two glaciers and even see some calving. As others have noted, the provided lunch was very good - much better than expected. It was great that one in our party who is gluten free was also able to have a turkey sandwich and chips for lunch. The crew did not give him the granola bar that everyone else received because it contained gluten, but they offered an extra bag of chips instead, which was very nice. The entire crew was helpful and kind throughout the day. The Captain provided ongoing commentary throughout the day regarding where we were, what we were seeing, what was next, etc. He and the crew tried very hard to make sure everyone on board had a chance to see at each stop. The crew was constantly circulating - chatting with everyone, answering questions, etc. They truly seemed to be enjoying themselves and to be concerned that everyone else was too. Even though our entire group of 11 took nausea prevention medicine prior to the trip, one of us became hot and dizzy at one point. A member of the crew noticed and came over to assist, providing an ice pack and advice. She came back periodically to check on us, and thankfully the episode passed before too long. There were many other little things throughout the day, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some of them - a map posted on the wall of all the wildlife we’d seen and where we saw it; one of the crew coming around with a notebook of individual whales including their names/tail pics and pointing out the ones we’d seen that day; oen of the crew sharing his personal videos and pics from the day; warm brownies on the way back. We had a great day not just because of all the amazing things we saw, but also because of the efforts of the crew. Thanks to the entire Major Marine crew for making this such an amazing and special trip for us :)
By far the best marine wildlife tour I've been on. Ticked off everything on the list with the highlight being a pod of feeding humpback whales. Great skipper, great crew, great commentary, great lunch. I totally recommend this awesome experience.
