Itinerario
Partiamo dal tuo hotel alle 07:00 circa per il porto di Los Cristianos. Lì ci aspetta il traghetto della compagnia "Fred Olsen", che ci porterà a San Sebastián de La Gomera, la capitale dell'isola.
Giunti a La Gomera, prenderemo la via meridionale e faremo una breve sosta vicino al Roque de Agando, una curiosa formazione rocciosa tipica dell'isola. La sua origine è il magma dei vulcani che hanno plasmato l'isola e che, nel tempo, è stato eroso fino a diventare ciò che possiamo vedere oggi. Diventando un testimone unico di ciò che accadde a La Gomera milioni di anni fa e regalandoci panorami spettacolari, soprattutto dalla base del Roque.
Proseguiremo nel cuore del Parco Nazionale di Garajonay, che contiene una delle foreste di alloro più importanti delle Isole Canarie e, quindi, del mondo. È stato dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO nel 1986. Cammineremo rilassati godendoci le foreste del Parco Nazionale, assistendo al contrasto tra la foresta sempreverde e lussureggiante e gli aridi paesaggi circostanti dell'isola. Un'autentica reliquia del passato che conserva parte della flora che abitava le terre mediterranee durante l'era cenozoica (già nota come Era terziaria) e che scomparve dall'Europa continentale a causa dei cambiamenti climatici che hanno colpito poco le isole per la loro remota posizione geografica .. Un'esperienza unica in cui sentirai un forte legame con la maestosità e la tranquillità della natura selvaggia.
Continueremo il nostro percorso attraverso Agulo, un bellissimo comune settentrionale aperto sull'Oceano Atlantico, con la vetta del Teide sempre presente nei suoi paesaggi. Questo comune è il più piccolo dell'isola di La Gomera, è adagiato ai piedi di un grande muro di basalto e forma un bel "balcone" verde sul mare. Questa città è considerata "Il cioccolato di La Gomera" grazie alla sua indiscutibile attrattiva e al suo aspetto curato. Agulo è piena di piacevoli stradine acciottolate e belle case di tegole circondate da giardini autoconsumati.
Torneremo nella capitale dell'isola, San Sebastián, una città ricca di cultura e tradizione. Il suo centro storico ha più di cinquecento anni di storia. La traccia del passaggio di Cristoforo Colombo alla scoperta del "Nuovo Mondo" e la conquista dell'isola da parte del regno di Castiglia, fanno di San Sebastian un luogo unico e speciale nelle Isole Canarie e nella storia della civiltà.
A San Sebastiano, come tracce della sua storia, spicca la Torre del Conde, fortezza di origine medievale e la più antica costruzione conservata nelle Isole
La chiesa di Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, dove possiamo deliziarci con il risultato della commistione tra lo stile gotico e canario, un vero museo di arte sacra; l'eremo di San Sebastián, costruito intorno al 1530 o la cosiddetta Casa de la Aguada, con il suo pozzo, dove la leggenda narra che Cristoforo Colombo bevve l'acqua con cui fu battezzato il nuovo continente. San Sebastián de La Gomera custodisce nel suo eremo a Puntallana la patrona dell'isola, la Vergine di Guadalupe, che ogni cinque anni esce in processione in tutti i comuni di La Gomera, attirando migliaia di fedeli e curiosi alle sue feste. San Sebastián è un luogo eccezionale che conserva ottimi esempi del suo passato. Punteggiato da belle costruzioni dell'architettura tradizionale canaria, con esempi architettonici che riveleranno la sua grande attività religiosa, sociale, politica e militare che sono state le protagoniste di questo insediamento che ha più di cinque secoli.

Had a great experience visiting the island of la gomera. Our tour guide was really informative and helpful.
We want to convey our gratitude to the guide Desirée, for her kindness, willingness to answer all the questions that arose, her friendliness and professionalism.
La Gomera is a beautiful island with impressive nature and beautiful views. Unfortunately, the excursion consisted largely of sitting in the bus. At the various stops we were given very little time to get off and really see the surroundings. The guide did not seem very enthusiastic or passionate and was difficult to understand in both Spanish and English. The presentation of Silbo Gomero, the original flute language of the island, also felt very forced. Afterwards, tips were also explicitly asked for, making it look more like a tourist obligation than an authentic experience. La Gomera itself is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit, but I would choose an excursion next time where you spend less time on the bus and more time to actually discover the island.
An all-around successful excursion! The organization was excellent from start to finish and everything worked smoothly. La Gomera is simply a beautiful island with breathtaking landscapes, impressive viewpoints, and a very special atmosphere. The guide was very friendly, competent, and enriched the day with exciting information. The lunch was also very delicious. An unforgettable experience – I can recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to discover a different side of the Canary Islands during their stay on Tenerife. The trip was honestly such a great experience and definitely worth it if you’re in Tenerife and thinking about visiting another Canary Island. You get to see so much of La Gomera in just one day, which makes it a really easy and worthwhile day trip. What really made it special, though, was our guide, Yaiza. She was so friendly and full of energy, and somehow managed to speak to everyone in their own language! You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that made the whole day feel even more enjoyable. Thanks so much for making our visit to La Gomera such a lovely memory!

PICKUP AT 6:10 AM. I think the pickup area was not the best and was very far from our accommodation, with poorly lit streets that were very busy, so we had to keep the mobile phone flashlight on, not to mention the slopes and unevenness until we reached the pickup site. I think another more accessible pickup location should have been considered, as other pickup points were at the doors of the hotels. ARRIVAL AT LOS CRISTIANOS 8:25 AM, approximately. There the guide boards and starts with the explanations and what we should do upon arriving at the Maritime Terminal, such as ticket distribution and how and when to board the ferry. 9:45 AM departure from the port already on the ferry heading to La Gomera. ARRIVAL AT THE PORT OF SAN SEBASTIÁN at approximately 10:40 AM and boarding the bus. The public address system was not heard well, and on top of that, the guide did not speak Spanish correctly as she was a foreigner. She told us that at 12:30 PM we had lunch at the agreed restaurant, and that we would be making technical stops (I think those stops were to buy time and arrive at the restaurant by 12:30 PM). The staff and service at the restaurant were correct, but the food was very scarce. ARRIVAL IN SAN SEBASTIÁN (Maritime Terminal) at 4:00 PM, from there we walked to the town (approximately 15 min.), I think that walk was unnecessary since the day was sunny and hot, and instead of dropping us off at the port, they should have left us as close to the town as possible for our visit to avoid that walk. That is to say, they drop us off at the port at 4:00 PM, we walk to the town and visit it, then return to the Maritime Terminal, ALL WALKING ON A HOT DAY.

It was a very long day but you will have time to rest during the ferry ride and bus transportation. It warms up during the day so best to dress in layers
