Excellent excursion, as outlined on website. Great guide in Jorge. Easy to join coach in cruise terminal. Trip was scheduled for 6 hours, which it was. Would have liked more free time in Santiago, since we had a scheduled late sailaway, but we were aware of that fact.
Our tour was unexpectedly rescheduled from 11 am to 10 am without our knowledge or consent. As a result we missed a once in a lifetime opportunity. Our money was refunded, but the damage had already been done.

For future travels, we highly recommend keeping a close eye on your booking notifications and messages in the days leading up to a tour, as operational updates are sometimes strictly necessary. Total cattle call,condensed and edited visit to the cathedral and museum that missed many parts and experiences , 2 hour round trip bus ride, 1 1/2 hours of free time that could have been best used for a fuller experience, should have been given the option for more individual time in the museum and cathedral…..this tour is not worth the time and or expense

We understand that the tour's structure—with its travel times, guided visit, and free time—may not have suited your personal preferences. Interestingly, the review right before yours complains about the exact opposite: that we provided "too much information" during the visit. This proves that it is impossible to design an itinerary that perfectly matches everyone's taste. However, there is a clear boundary that we do not allow anyone to cross. We do not tolerate disrespect, shouting, or hostile behavior toward our guides under any circumstances, which is exactly how you acted before boarding the bus for the return trip. Due to your unacceptable behavior, our guide would have been fully justified in denying you boarding and leaving you in Santiago. However, because he is a true professional, he chose to bring you back anyway, ensuring that despite your attitude, you arrived back at your ship perfectly on time. A lot of detail info in the museum and church. Too much for us. Was beautiful and interesting to see the pilgrims/hikers arrive.
Excellent tour, great tour guide. It was a lot of fun. The bus was very clean. We all had a really good time.
Time was precisely managed. Our tour guide, Christina, was wonderfully knowledgeable. We really enjoyed her stories and delivery and expertise. Job well done. We had plenty of time to tour as a group and on our own
We had a memorable experience going to visit Santiago. The bus ride was comfortable and our tour guide, Jorge, laid the foundation for the tour on the ride. Jorge did a good job keeping our large group together, even if it was slightly challenging to hear through the tour-provided ear piece. Our almost four-year old got overwhelmed during the trip and Jorge kindly and effectively helped us navigate through the cathedral tour. Worth the trip to a sacred site.
The excursion to Santiago de Compostela was very nice. Christina was an excellent guide and the bus driver was very skillful. We really enjoyed the tour of the area and the museum. The only suggestion I have is that the guide pass out and test the listening devices while we were on the bus. Several people had difficulty tuning into and/or adjusting their devices and it was confusing and time consuming to resolve the issues with people wandering around outside.
Good communication and timely pickup. Guide was knowledgeable and informative on the drive to Santiago. Once we arrived however, the portable hearing system was useless! We couldn’t understand anything the guide said due to distortion. Then on the way back to the ship, the bus had no working air conditioning. We basically paid for a just a shuttle to and from Santiago, and only half of the time did we have a comfortable ride. The time in Santiago was basically just following a group of people and having no idea what we were actually seeing.
The drive wasn't bad, it was fairly scenic, in the destination was very interesting. There was nothing wrong with the content of the tour at all, the problems arose with difficulty understanding the tour guide via the headset because the audio was badly distorted for everyone. Also the trip back was miserable because the bus had no AC and nothing but warm air came out of the vents, and it was like an oven. With this being a touring bus, there was no way to open a window at all so we suffocated the whole trip back to the ship. The driver and the guide were wonderful and the destination was wonderful, it was just these technical difficulties.
