All very well, we liked the guide only they lack a little more time on the sites! SO I recommend it!
Amazing! Long day but worth every minute! Would do it again. Recommend for anyone interested. Tour guide was amazing as well
We were stranded by the driver, Soto at the entrance to our resort. He said he would return for us in 30 minutes, we waited two hours for him and he never showed to pick us up. We paid in full and missed our tour.
This trip could have been incredible and should have only taken half the time! It could easily have been 7 hours instead of 13! Firstly we were not collected from our hotel due to a mix up and we were then asked to delay our trip by 1 day and go the following day! We should have left it there! The Chichén Itzá was amazing as was the cenoté however our guide Roberto was only interested in selling us overpriced merchandise. Three hours was wasted in the morning changing and waiting for our coach only to be taken to a local ‘village’ and given the hard sale of their hugely overpriced goods. We were in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t leave. All this took until after lunchtime when we were fed at the village and finally got on our way to the Chichén Itzá, now 1.30pm!! We were told not to buy souvenirs from the local stalls there when I fact they were cheap and much better than at the local village’. Thankfully we had a different, excellent Mayan guide who made the attraction come to life with his excellent t knowledge and enthusiasm. The cenoté was great but we were not looked after at either attraction by Roberto. We only had an hour here and everything cost extra - life jackets, lockers etc which was not explained beforehand. On the bus on the way home we had another hard sale experience when a n invited ‘student’ tried to talk us all into buying his alcohol with our pictures imprinted on, which had been taken at the ‘village’. All in all I would avoid this tour company and go with someone else for a much shorter, caring experience where you are looked after.
I would not recommend Cancun Tours. While it was one of the cheaper tours to Chichen Itza, we still had to pay fees… when we checked out with trip advisor it said $20 usd per person when we got to the tour it was actually $30 per person. Half of the bus was Spanish speaking and half of the bus was English speaking. The tour catered to those who were Spanish speaking, giving an entire hour and a half of information in Spanish and there was very little (maybe 5 minutes of english). The bus was very hot, with several people looking like they were going to pass out. The road was rough and made several people feel sick. It was a terrible experience overall… would not recommend this company.. get a smaller group with an actual tour guide where they will provide you with information. If I could leave a zero star review I would. I also understand that they had a large bus full of people… but saying there is a bilingual tour, but provide ing 5 minutes of information… or saying $20 extra a person, but when we go to get on the bus it is an extra $30. Maybe a different company would be better, but I would not recommend this one! Chichen Itza and a visiting a cenote are well worth it, but you will regret picking this company..
Malhonnêtes!! Malhonnêtes !!!! Attention!! !! Scammers!!! Scammers!!!! Hidden fees! 1) When you complain about fees they didn't mention ahead they say if you don't want to pay the additional price, you won't make the tour. And they won't give you back your money. So no choice, you do the tour. 2) The tour is advertised Spanish and English but it's 80% spanish and 20% English. You sometimes must request English before you get it. 3) Food time: everybody has the right for only ONE glass of water! Nothing more! Water? Even water? I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Arnelle : There no hidden fee all is state in the tour description and included and excluded
Snorkeling in Cozumel on a tour Ay packages from 1700 per person to Cozumel all paid with lunch food ferry and taxes
We got our ticket from Viator for over US$80 each only to be told at pickup that we had a balance to pay that Viator only calls the tour company and tells them to pick us up but we have to pay them to board. If you look at the details, you’ll see that the service (which is the actual tour is not included) that’s US$20 plus if you asked to be picked up anywhere between the Cancún airport and Tulum it’s an extra US$10 (that is in the details as well but not clearly formulated) On top of all of that, of the 11 hours of the tour, you spend more than half of that riding on the bus and there isn’t much to see along the way. We spent about 1h40mins at Chichén Itzá and 1h30mins at X-Cajum (where we ate, visited a cenote and met a Mayan shaman) They also added a 20-30mins stop to taste local tequilas (personally I didn’t get off there) Certainly not worth US$110 per person we ended up paying. Felt like a rip off! Moreover I’m not sure I would recommend visiting Chichén Itzá at all because you can’t get too close to the buildings so you can’t touch them since they are so big it feels like looking at them from afar. It’s for their preservation obviously but I guess the whole experience with Viator made it feel less than what it was which is a shame. Anyway, I most certainly won’t be going back.
The sights were lovely. However when you book the trip they let you know that to pay $20. However, when the transport arrived the guide told us the exchange rate had changed and we had to pay nearly double that. Contacting Viator to try and understand this but really put a bad taste. Also the tour was in Spanish- hardly any English as advertised. Had to constantly ask for English advice on meeting times etc.
Our experience was better than expected. We had read the negative reviews and were apprehensive about our tour. However it turned out to be a good experience. Galo was a good guide and although his English is not his first language tried hard to accommodate the English speaking passengers. The tour was not rushed and we had time to do everything.
