Itinerario
Partendo dopo la colazione, accompagnati dalla guida, ci avvicineremo a un villaggio intatto vicino alla città di Angkor Thom con tuk-tuk (carrello motorizzato) e imparando a conoscere la vita quotidiana della popolazione locale. Continua il tuo viaggio a piedi (ci vorranno circa 1 ora con circa 3 km su terreno pianeggiante) ti offre l'occasione perfetta per ottenere "percorsi alternativi" e ottenere una migliore comprensione della vita locale cambogiana, insieme a una visione del tradizionale Khmer cultura.
Proseguire in direzione nord verso Angkor Thom. Questo maestoso sito era una volta la scintillante capitale dell'Impero Khmer. Prenditi un momento per considerare la sua grandiosità prima di avventurarti all'interno della città. Arrivando al tempio di Bayon, apprezzate le sue torri centrali splendidamente lavorate coperte in più di 200 facce enormi.
Spostati su Ta Prohm, un tempio ambientato nel mezzo della giungla. Continuate dopo pranzo ad Angkor Wat dal lato orientale poco visitato, il più grande edificio sacro del mondo e un capolavoro architettonico. Costruito nel 12 ° secolo, il tempio impiegò 30 anni per costruire e rappresenta la civiltà Khmer al suo massimo. The tour guide and driver (both called Samnang/Lucky) truly made the experience for us. I was alone but in a group of 11 on the day, they were both welcoming and it was easy to start chatting to the others. Our tour guide Samnang is very knowledgeable and took time explaining everything to us. Thanks to him I felt truly immersed in the City of Temples and he also took some great photos of us. The Sunset mini hike (10-15 mins) and view from the top was a lovely relaxing end to the day and definitely worth it. Throughout the day they had plenty of chilled water and also cold towels for us, all at no extra cost. I would absolutely recommend Journey Cambodia and especially the two Samnangs!

The Angkor Wat was perfect. And the reason I say this is the excellent guide Sak who explained to us in perfect English everything about the great temple. I personally thank him as well as the driver who returned me to the hotel in the middle of the excursion free of charge, because I felt unwell due to the heat. I definitely recommend it !!!
