It was a really beautiful trip. It was very educational and gave me goosebumps by hearing the story about Srebrenica. This should be taught at public schools all over the world. I will definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to learn about Bosnian history.
One of the best tours I’ve done in a while. It’s an emotional trip but it’s important for posterity to know and acknowledge what happened there. First we were picked up by our driver/guide Agan on time and started our 3-hour journey to Srebrenica. The countryside and landscape were absolutely stunning. The 3 hours went by like a breeze mostly because of the engaging conversations we had with Agan. He knows his history and passionate about. The trip involves 3 main stops. The museums where you spend most of the time were well-organized and tells a tragic piece of history. A local guide takes you through it. Our amazing local guide was Jasmina Prepare to be heartbroken! Secondly, a brief stop at the center of the town of Srebrenica. And lastly a stop at the cemetery where some of the victims are buried. I’d say this is a tragic but important trip/tour for whoever wants to experience and understand the atrocities committed there and definitely with Agan and Meet Bosnia Tours.

This tour was deeply moving and incredibly informative. Our guide, Almir, had an encyclopaedic level of knowledge about the war and Balkan political history which he shared on the drive there, and recommended many books. This provided useful context for what we about to see. I was struck by how candidly he spoke about his own experiences and with a great sense of humour too, despite the melancholic nature of the visit. In the memorial centre there is a plethora of information to read and videos to watch, and we also had a history lesson from one of the guides there. Even though it is a long day and we had plenty of time, I almost wish we actually had more time there because there are so many exhibition rooms. We were given sufficient time at the cemetery and it didn’t feel rushed, which was appreciated. Logistics: It’s a 2.5 hour drive from Sarajevo. The day starts early at 8am, and you arrive back in Sarajevo at 6pm so I would plan accordingly and dress comfortably. The tour group provides lunch (we stopped at an Albanian-owned bakery and the guide assured us it was halal, which I appreciated as one of two Muslims in the group), and water bottles are also provided. A service station stop is also incorporated each way and there is air conditioning in the minivan. Thank you to the Meet Bosnia team for offering this important opportunity to explore and reflect on a dark chapter in Bosnia’s history. I would highly recommend booking on this tour.
An amazing day trip to Srebrenica with Meet Bosnia Tours. The whole day was organized, professional, packed with knowledge about the Bosnian War and they even packed us lunch. Very thoughtful. Our guide Almir was friendly, helpful and full of knowledge and insight about the Bosnian War. Excellent value for money and a highlight of our vacation. Will definitely book with them again!
Ayoub guided me through a moving tour in Srebrenica. He told me and my fellow tour friend the story of a sad event in Bosnia's history, if not the saddest. We crossed Srpska Republic and all those territories which testified the massacre of 8000+ people, watched the images and heard the voices of the ones who suffered from such a tremendous conflict. What Ayoub added has been his deep knowledge about it, but he did more than this: he also pushed me to think critically of an event of such scale, finding the causes that originated it and showing me the consequences. In particular, I won't forget the kindness I found in those people living and resisting in the territory of the so called Srpska Republic, who are still facing the aftermath of the genocide, an evidence of how the conflicts don't just come to an end when the weapons stay silent and the agreements are signed.
Almir was wonderful. Our guide is local and knowledgeable about all aspects of history. Thanks. May God have mercy on all of them. 🤲🏻
Fantastic experience that was both enjoyable and educational. Our driver and guide Almir was so friendly and knowledgeable. His English was superb and he made a brilliant trip even more interesting. He shared both his personal experience vast knowledge of the Bosnian war with us. I couldn’t rate Almir highly enough. This is a most do trip if you visit Sarajevo and have the time.
This was one of the most powerful and moving tours I have ever taken. Our guide, Almir, was absolutely phenomenal. He was friendly, had a great sense of humor, which he used appropriately, and approached a very difficult subject with honesty, openness, and sensitivity. He did an excellent job explaining the history and helping us understand the events that took place, while also sharing his own firsthand experiences during the war, including deeply personal stories of loss. The group was small (only eight people) which allowed plenty of opportunities to ask questions and have meaningful discussions throughout the day. It was a long and emotional experience, but Almir was the perfect guide for it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. Just be prepared: it is an emotionally difficult day, and one that will stay with you long after it ends.
Great experience, very emotional, the guide was great, sharing facts and documentation, he is very brave as he experienced war and ethnic cleansing himself. This place should be visited by all tourists,
