Full day with guided tour of palace, gardens and Mary Antoinette’s Estate booked. But due to it being 35 degrees the tour was changed on arrival to palace guided tour & garden access. I was only refunded 89.00 but the difference between the 2 tours was $117. The tour satisfaction is going to depend on the Guide you get. There were 2 guides. Unfortunately Nathan didnt discuss some rooms or what the rooms were used for. In the hall of mirrors he turned off his mic and told us to look around. I noticed the other guide and group so I dialed into their number and got to hear great information for that room and the next.
The Palace was beautiful but we found the tour not to be organized . It was not informative like we thought it would be . Learned very little about the actual palace . Also after the tour we weren’t told about options for train or golf cart rentals . The day was super hot and knowing what we could do after tour was done would have helped with us wandering around in the heat
Very hot in Versailles, but tour guide , Mauro, was extremely knowledgeable, competent, and entertaining! Would highly recommend.
This was a great trip! In the morning when we were about to leave there was an accident that the tour bus couldn’t get around, we were delayed about an hour but the company handled it perfectly. It was completely out of their control and really wasn’t that big of a deal, but they still gave everyone a partial refund which I thought was very good of them. The palace tour was great as well. The guide was informed and very good at keeping the whole group together even in big crowds. The gardens were my favorite part! Highly recommend.
My daughter and I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was Nils and he was fantastic and pretty funny. I highly recommend this tour.
We found this tour a great way to experience The Palace. The bus was clean and comfortable. The tour was well organized and informative. We also spent some of our time exploring the town of Versailles. It was great!
Lucia is wonderful! Very thorough, we could hear her clearly through the earpieces, answered everyone’s questions with clarity and patience. She always found the right spaces for us to stop despite the crowds. I also loved the fact the bus took us to and from Paris. We went straight through to the ticket office and in with barely any wait. Really enjoyable and informative!
Easy to find the meeting point, and close to the Metro. Our guide, Mauro, was knowledgeable and interesting - and he had a good sense of humor! We learned great info on this tour, and the length of the palace tour was perfect.
Terrific experience overall. The Palace was very crowded, however, the guide successfully navigated the crowds and conveyed a lot of interesting information.
We took this tour as a way to ensure we got to see Versailles while in Paris 4-5 days. Our guide, Nils, was nice and kept us informed along the way. Versailles was VERY crowded this day (more so than Louvre and Eiffel Tower). The bus ride there was comfortable. The only downside was that we had to stand in the rain (basically pouring, not drizzle) for about 10-15 minutes before being allowed inside. We had rain coats but it seems there should be a way to allow guests arriving to queue up SOMEWHERE, ANYWHERE in this giant palace rather than standing literally in the midst of a wide open entrance (it is HUGE itself). No one controls weather....but someone controls this kind of thing. Standing in the rain meant that once inside, we were all dripping all over the floor (and causing safety issue as slippery) and tracking in dirt since the places were were standing outside were not paved/pavers....more like gravel over hard dirt. We had a great time and the tour accomplished our goal.
