I booked this tour for my mom and me while we were visiting friends in Cyprus and our tour guide Gema made everything easy. She messaged me on WhatsApp promptly, confirmed where we should meet and asked about my mom’s mobility to plan the day properly. It was clear from the start that she genuinely cared about making this a good experience for us. After further discussion, she adjusted the route so we could comfortably fit everything into the eight-hour day without overdoing it for my mom's limited mobility. We started in Famagusta, where we visited Varosha ghost town. Hearing Gema talk through the history, how the area once thrived, what happened in 1974, and why parts of it still sit abandoned, made the visit powerful. She explained things in a way that was easy to follow and added context we wouldn’t have gotten on our own. Next, we headed to Kyrenia and spent time around the harbor inside the old walled city. We had lunch and one thing I appreciated was how flexible everything was when it came to payment such as USD, EUR, TRY and GBP. It gave us the freedom to eat wherever we felt like without worrying about using specific currency. We wrapped up at Bellapais Abbey. It’s peaceful, scenic, and full of character. Again, having Gema there to share stories and background made the experience richer. Throughout the entire tour, Gema drove us in her own car, which was clean, comfortable, and perfect for getting around easily. Most importantly, she was patient and respectful of my mom’s pace, checking in with her throughout the day and adjusting as needed. I would happily book with Gema again and recommend her to anyone visiting North Cyprus, especially if you want a guide who’s knowledgeable, kind, and willing to tailor the day to your needs.
Cema was a delight! We did a whole lot in a day and she was efficient and very knowledgeable. Let someone else do the driving and enjoy this tour!
This one of the best tours we have ever been on. Not only were the three main sites amazing, but our guide did an excellent job of bringing the history alive for us. We had just enough time at each site, as well as time to do a little exploring on our own.
Kyrenia Castle and Marina were incredible to see. It was a perfect spot to stop and have a seafood lunch. Famagusta also great. Thank you to our lovely tour guide Gemma.
