Itinerario
Questo tour inizia alle 7:00 del mattino. Il viaggio da Mérida dura circa 45 minuti. Dopodiché, ci fermeremo in un minimarket per acquistare acqua e snack per il tragitto. Alle 8:00 partiremo alla volta della nostra prima destinazione, Chichén Itzá, che dista circa 2 ore di auto.
All'arrivo al sito archeologico, è possibile acquistare i biglietti d'ingresso (è importante precisare che questo biglietto non è incluso e deve essere pagato all'arrivo in contanti in pesos messicani o con carta). Due ore sono dedicate alla visita del sito archeologico in compagnia della guida. I monumenti più importanti vengono visitati nel seguente ordine: Osservatorio di Caracol, Ossario, Il Mercato, Gruppo delle Mille Colonne, Il Castello, Campo da Palla Maya, Tzompantli, Piattaforma di Venere e Cenote Sacro.
Poi si sale sul pulmino e ci si dirige verso il cenote Ik Kil che dista 15 minuti, si entra direttamente con i braccialetti forniti dalla guida, qui ci sono armadietti per riporre i propri effetti personali, ci sono bagni e docce per cambiarsi, l'uso del giubbotto di salvataggio è obbligatorio, è importante indossare un costume da bagno e scarpe da acqua (se non si hanno le scarpe da acqua si deve entrare nel cenote senza scarpe). In totale si dispone di 1,5 ore sul posto, suddivise in 15 minuti per cambiarsi, 1 ora per nuotare e 15 minuti per cambiarsi di nuovo (è importante portare un asciugamano).
La fermata successiva, a 15 minuti di distanza, è il ristorante dell'Hacienda Yay Beh D'Cámara, dove avrete un'ora di tempo per mangiare in un delizioso buffet con una varietà di piatti messicani. Il pranzo è incluso con una bevanda (acqua fresca aromatizzata).
Infine, ci dirigiamo a Izamal, che dista 1 ora di auto. Facciamo una visita guidata della magica città, visitando il convento e la piazza principale, conosciuta come la città delle tre culture perché unisce la storia pre-ispanica e coloniale dello Stato riflettendo la vita contemporanea; camminando per le sue strade noterete un dettaglio molto curioso, poiché tutte le case sono dipinte di giallo e bianco. Qui avrete 20 minuti di spiegazione con la guida e 40 minuti di tempo libero nel parco principale.
Il tour termina nello stesso punto d'incontro dove vi abbiamo prelevato al mattino. Tra le 18:30 e le 19:00 Il viaggio di ritorno da Izamal a Mérida dura 1 ora.

Vi contatteremo un giorno prima tramite WhatsApp per inviarvi suggerimenti sul tour e ricordarvi l'orario di partenza. I passeggeri salgono a bordo del veicolo nell'ordine di arrivo in ufficio, pertanto si consiglia di arrivare circa 10 minuti prima delle 7:00.

- Sconsigliato ai viaggiatori che hanno difficoltà a camminare o che utilizzano un bastone.

They were very punctual with departures and arrivals, our guide Jonny was very cool, attentive, and takes the best photos!👌🏼 The tour is very well put together; at Chichén Itzá you do suffer from the heat, but with the stop at the cenote you cool off very well. The cenote is one of the best I have visited (clean and well-maintained facilities) and the food is very good and plentiful! You do have to bring a lunch for breakfast.

With heavy heart I have to say that unfortunately we did not enjoy this tour. We decided to book with Colibrì because of the high reviews and the fact it included both Chichén Itzá and Cenote Ik Kil, which we really wanted to visit. Travelling by ADO and not having a car meant that we had to rely on a tour. We didn’t imagine, however, that this would penalise us and lessen our experience of the archeological site. This wasn’t our first site tour in Mexico and, although it was supposed to be the most special, it has also been the poorest. Time was not managed, in my opinion, correctly and with less than 2 hours within the site we found ourselves running in extreme heat to exit the site (just the walk back to the entrance takes 20/30 minutes) to reach the meeting point. This happened not because we wasted time, but merely because we wanted to try and explore the entirety of the site. The guided tour only touched the sacred Cenote, Kukulcan temple and juego de la pelota court with no free time left (we had to walk away from the guide once realised we only had 30 minutes left). It is a pity because we will never get our time back and it was cut short… not allowing us to make the most of a very steep entrance ticket. To make matters worse, the stop in Izamal was way to long (even more so as we were caught in torrential rain and made to get off anyway), I wish that time would been allocated to more free time in Chichén Itzá. I think Izamal could just be a photo stop. I cannot say how this tour compares to others in the area but I can say that if I could do it all over again I would try to find a different solution. Unfortunately it was a true disappointment. A point in their favour is that everything advertised has in fact been offered day of.

Excellent, it is a tour that requires energy because there are several activities, everything well organized, the transportation comfortable, the places are wonderful but it is made better by learning and understanding it thanks to the information they share with us. We enjoyed it from beginning to end. Many thanks to Jorge and Diego, 10/10, they make the trip entertaining, always attentive; we would definitely take a tour with them again.

The food was terrible, and the guide did not know as much about the site as you’d expect. The guide did not stop whistling for the entire time we were in the van which drove everyone out of their minds. The whistling started at 7am and did not stop until we got back. I literally can’t describe how annoying it was. The organization was nice to get to various sites but we didn’t have much time at Chichen Itza either. It’s probably better to just rent a car and do it all on your own, especially if you want to see all of Chichen Itza.
