Nara Park è una delle zone da non perdere di Nara City ed è uno dei parchi più antichi del Giappone. La vasta area si estende per 660 ettari ed è rinomata per i suoi cervi randagi e i templi di fama mondiale. Si ritiene che queste creature addomesticate siano messaggeri sacri degli dei shintoisti e camminino liberamente a Nara. Nel corso del tempo, questi simpatici cervi hanno imparato a inchinarsi ai visitatori-un segno per una delizia. Per oltre 1.300 anni, umani e cervi hanno convissuto pacificamente a Nara. Oggi, sono protetti come Monumenti Naturali, e venerati come animali santi a Nara.
Ci sono circa 30.000 santuari Inari in Giappone, Fushimi Inari Taisha è il santuario principale, per venerare il dio shintoista del riso, Inari. Il santuario è rinomato per Senbon Torii, migliaia di porte torii rosso vermiglio, che creano un percorso mozzafiato e immersivo simile a un tunnel sul sacro Monte Inari. Nei 1300 anni dalla sua fondazione nel 711 d.C., le persone si sono riunite qui per pregare per raccolti abbondanti, prosperità aziendale, la sicurezza della loro casa e della loro famiglia e l'adempimento di tutti gli altri desideri.

A differenza della maggior parte dei santuari che presentano iconiche porte torii color vermiglio, il santuario di Nonomiya ha un caratteristico cancello torii nero noto come torii kuroki. Nonostante le sue piccole dimensioni, il santuario ha una lunga storia, fondata nell'antichità come santuario di purificazione per le principesse imperiali che venivano nominate sacerdotesse per il Santuario di Ise. Il Santuario di Nonomiya ha la reputazione di aiutare e intercedere a favore delle donne, e molte parrocchiane sono donne che vogliono trovare amore o desiderio per i bambini e un parto sicuro. Molti degli omamori in vendita al santuario riflettono il tema della felicità delle donne e puoi trovare una varietà di amuleti disponibili presso l'ufficio del santuario.
La foresta di Kimono è un'installazione di arte tessile distintiva composta da 600 cilindri in acrilico trasparente, ognuno alto 2 metri. Questi pilastri sono adornati da vivaci tessuti a kimono caratterizzati da una gamma di disegni, da eleganti motivi floreali a forme geometriche e simboli tradizionali giapponesi. L'installazione presenta 32 disegni tradizionali Kyo-yuzen. Il Tempio Tenryu-ji, patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO, è un vero gioiello del quartiere di Arashiyama a Kyoto ed è classificato come il top tra i cinque grandi templi zen della città. Sarai attratto nel mondo di Rilakkuma, dove abbraccerai uno stile di vita pigro e rilassato mentre ti godi tutto ciò che Rilakkuma fa. Il primo piano presenta una varietà di oggetti esclusivi legati a Rilakkuma che possono essere trovati solo in Giappone. Il secondo piano è una caffetteria che offre pranzo, bevande e snack, accompagnati dal simpatico personaggio Rilakkuma. Ci sono anche peluche Rilakkuma sui tavoli con cui scattare foto.
Il ponte Togetsukyo è il punto di riferimento più iconico di Arashiyama. Originariamente costruito durante il periodo Heian (794-1185), è stato ricostruito più recentemente negli anni '30. Questo famoso ponte attraversa il fiume Katsura e offre viste pittoresche sulle montagne circostanti e sul paesaggio fluviale.

The middle of July weather is brutal but we had an awesome tour guide Amy who went above and beyond to make sure the group was fully accommodated. What an amazing experience! Lee was an incredible tour guide—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely funny. We had an amazing day on this tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Japan! The itinerary was excellent, covering Nara Deer Park, Arashiyama, and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. It was a great way to see so many iconic places in one day without having to worry about transport or planning everything ourselves. Nara Deer Park was such a fun and unique experience. Feeding the famous bowing deer was definitely one of the highlights of the day—they really do bow before you give them a deer cracker! Also, being able to interact with the deer up close was such a memorable experience and something we'll be talking about for a long time. Our guide, Valerie, was fantastic and really made the experience even more enjoyable. During the bus rides, she shared lots of interesting information about each destination, Japanese history, and local legends, which made the journey just as engaging as the sightseeing. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer questions. Everything was well organized, the timing at each stop was just right, and the whole day ran smoothly from start to finish. We came away with great memories and learned so much along the way. We'd absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience some of Japan's most beautiful and famous sights. And if you get Valerie as your guide, you'll be in great hands!

I highly recommend this experience. The programme is very well organised and allows you to discover some of the most beautiful places in Kyoto. What made the experience even more special was our guide, Amy, also known as “Happy Bunny.” I would give her 10 out of 5 stars if I could, because she truly exceeded all my expectations. She is an incredibly kind, friendly, and thoughtful person, and she explained everything clearly and in an interesting way. She also gave us snacks and souvenirs, which made the experience even more memorable. She paid attention to every small detail, from organising the seats on the bus to suggesting suitable options for different dietary requirements. Even though we were a fairly large group, she managed to take excellent care of everyone. I was travelling alone, but she made me feel very connected to the group. My family and I really enjoyed this tour and felt it was the perfect way to see the sites we wanted to see without having to mess around with subways and buses! Our tour guide, Amy, was very funny, lovely, and accommodating. We appreciated her selflessness and dedication she puts into the tour. She gave us ample information about the places we were visiting and gave us an heads up about places to visit while spending time at the Bamboo Forest.
