Eireann was such a great guide, we got stuck in a 2.5 hour unavoidable traffic jam and she still made sure we made it to the train on time and still saw some highlights on the way back. She kept us entertained and still covered everything despite the time constraint!
Nicky our guide was upbeat and friendly with lots of movie location knowledge which was fabulous. It's a pity that we couldn't visit more of these locations for photographs. The Jacobite was a bucket list moment, however tainted by the poor cheap seats in the carriage directly behind the steam train therefore no photo opportunities...the cheap seats. The carriage was also unclean with full bins and stewards were very strict about using the windows for photos therefore this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that was missed and clouded the day. An expensive day out. Probably best paying to park at the Glenfinan viaduct for less than £10 and viewing the train passing than actually riding it. No insta photos or videos to add to review and don't expect any... you'll be disappointed. Not that any of this is Nickys fault. She was great.
We had an amazing day, all thanks to Nicky. She was a brilliant guide who was informative, funny and kept the energy up. Nicky turned what could have been just a bus ride to the event into a really enjoyable day, seeing a lot of what the Highlands have to offer. Thanks again Nicky! Seb and Colin (Birthday Boy)
It was a wonderful trip and it became more exciting with our tour guide Nicky. She was really fun, keeping everyone involved & updated, and helpful. Really enjoyed and thank you Nicky!
Nicky is the BEST! She was a great tour guide and had some very funny jokes and told some amazing stories about the landmarks we passed. She gave us many opportunities to take photos and stop. Nicky was extremely entertaining and made the whole trip even better! The bus passed by many interesting places, and the train was very cool as well, I believe it was definitely worth it. Overall, I would certainly give this a 5/5 and say that Nicky is the best tour guide you could get.
Nicky was very funny and knowledgeable. Good stops and bathroom breaks. Good solid driving. Beautiful drive through the highlands.
Very nice, i ve never been in a steam train before
Alex our driver and tour guide was very engaging and knowledgeable of all the sites he took us to. My husband and I were very pleased on our full day tour.
Beautiful day with lovely sights. Expect a long ride with short stops. You cover a lot of territory. Train ride is the best part.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We appreciate that it is a long day to get from Glasgow up to the Jacobite Steam Train, however, we are glad to hear that you had a great time on the Jacobite Train. We hope to see you again soon! Kind Regards, EJ - Sales and Reservations
Beautiful countryside and Jacobite train was wonderful. A long day and most time spent in vehicle. Be prepared for windy roads. Eiranne was a terrific guide. Her description of the are and stories of the past were terrific.
