Albane was a confident and outstanding guide. Her expertise with the region and the wine was deep and made the tour even more informative and pleasant. The two wineries we visited were interesting and delicious. My spouse needed a food accommodation (both dairy and gluten free which can be challenging in France!) and that was thoughtfully taken care of at the lunch stop. We came home with a new appreciation and affection for Bourgogne region’s wines, and now we know how to read the labels also!
Albane is an awesome guide. She gives us detail information about the burgundy wines and winery. She makes the trip very interesting. The day trip is relaxing, visiting two wineries with wine tasting. We visited the cellar and have an explanation of wine production. The lunch is eaten in a garden of the winery with local cheese and cold cut.
Guide was charming, generous and extremely well informed. Vineyards were perfect selection. Wines off the charts.
Great wine tour from Beaune through Montrachet and Meursault. Beautiful scenery and a really enjoyable day. Mathilde was an excellent guide. She knows the region incredibly well and shared lots of interesting stories about the wines, vineyards, and local history without ever making it feel like a lecture. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and made everyone feel welcome. A great experience that I would definitely recommend.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and took great care to ensure everyone on our tour had a great time. The wines were excellent, the lunch light and very tasty. Great way to spend an afternoon Burgandy.
Our guide was an experienced sommelier and very knowledgeable about the wines of the Burgundy region. We learned a lot about the wines of the region, including how to understand the various wine labels. Overall, it was a great experience.
Dear Pete, What a treat to have an experienced sommelier as your guide! So glad you came away with a real understanding of the region's wine labels, that's the kind of detail that stays with you long after the trip. Burgundy always has more to offer, and we hope to see you back in the region one day! Best regards, A la Française Bourgogne Team 🍇
Emillien was an amazing guide and who best to educate us on the amazing wines of Burgundy than a young and up and coming wine maker! The only negative was the day went so quickly :)
Bonjour, So glad the day with Emillien flew by, that's always the sign of a great time! Burgundy always has more to offer, and we hope to see you back in the region one day! Best regards, A la Française Bourgogne Team 🍇
Very nice wine excursion with good friendly guidance. You will be taken through the entire process of the wine up to tasting of course.
Bonjour Boris, Being taken through the full winemaking journey from vine to glass is exactly what we love sharing with our guests, and we are so glad the experience felt both warm and complete! Burgundy always has more to offer, and we hope to see you back in the region one day! Best regards, A la Française Bourgogne Team 🍇
This was a lovely tour. The van was comfortable. The scenery was beautiful. Our guide was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were very happy with the presentation they gave at the first winery. The first winery of the day was about 15 minutes outside of Beaune where we were served lunch and tasted several very good wines. We then visited a vineyard and learned about how the land was divided, and divided again as it was passed down through generations. Very interesting. The second and last winery was also a beautiful location, however, we were not fond of the wines. I don’t believe we were the only ones in the group who felt that way. This tour was not at the low end of available tours, and one of the only ones that advertised they offered lunch, which consisted of plates of charcuterie. Not exactly what we would consider lunch and similar to what we’d had for breakfast. We might suggest that a different second winery be offered. We would actually give this tour a 4.5 star rating if we had that option.
Dear Valérie, We are so glad the scenery, the guide and the vineyard visit left a good impression, and that the story behind the land resonated with you! We hear you on the lunch, and we understand that "lunch included" can set different expectations. Our winery spread features local charcuterie and artisanal cheeses, a very Burgundian way to enjoy the wines, though we take your point that this could be made clearer in the description. Your feedback on the second winery is also genuinely noted and will be taken on board. Best regards, A la Française Bourgogne Team 🍇
This was an amazing day with an educational portion, learning about the local geology of the slopes and why wine tastes how it does because of what it grows over (limestone, clay, soil). We had an amazing charcuterie lunch with wines, cellar tour and vineyard tour. Great people, relaxing and educational! I would 100% recommend this tour!
Dear Jean, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your tour in Burgundy region and that you found it both enjoyable and informative. Ypur recommendation means a lot to us and we hope to welcoming you back again soon! Best regards, A LA FRANCAISE TEAM
