La cascata è alta circa 12 metri (36 piedi) e larga 30 metri (90 piedi), e forma una forma a ferro di cavallo che crea uno spettacolo mozzafiato di acqua e nebbia. Avrai circa 45 minuti per esplorare la cascata e scattare foto di questa meraviglia naturale. Dopo aver ammirato la cascata, salirai di nuovo sull'autobus e tornerai ad Akureyri ma non esattamente nello stesso modo. Attraverserai la bellissima valle di Fnjoskadalur, su per le montagne e giù fino alla baia di Eyjafordur con una vista sorprendente. La baia di Eyjafjörður è la più lunga dell'Islanda ed è circondata da montagne innevate. Prima di arrivare ad Akureyri, l'autobus si fermerà al punto panoramico di Akureyri, così potrai goderti la vista sulla città di Akureyri, sulla baia e sulle montagne, e scattare foto!

This trip was about 2.5 hours and the journey was filled with excellent commentary from our guide sharing history & interesting facts about Iceland & this area in particular. We had around 45 minutes at the falls which was plenty of time to walk around. The route went a different way back which made it interesting. They were very accommodating for everyone on the tour. Highly recommend.

A 21/2 hour tour to the Godafoss Waterfall with a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable and provided plenty of information about not only the waterfall but the history and daily life of the area.
It was very easy to find the tour when we got off the ship. The tour guide was very interesting; he was born in Akureyri, so we had great insight into the area. The Godafoss Waterfalls were absolutely beautiful. It was an extremely windy day, but the sun was out, so we were able to completely enjoy the waterfalls. We don't have any comparison with other tour operators regarding the admission fee; however, it was clearly much less expensive than booking through the ship. The length of time at the waterfall seemed about right. Thank you for making this fun for us.

Guide picked Us up at Cruise Port, nice drive through City. Guide very informative. Weather unpredictable some Sun some rain, be prepared. We also had very high winds at falls. Worth the trip Spectacular site, Hugh place views everywhere. Gift shop, restaurant & restrooms with fee. Many, many other tourists there.

Managed to book tickets just a few days before arriving. Sometimes there is availability at the port on the day (both this and other vendors). All good and friendly guide. If back with sufficient time to spare can be dropped off at botanical gardens and walk round and then walk down to town and to cruise.
What a wonderful excursion. Our tour guide was full of knowledge, provided interesting facts about Iceland, while we took in the beautiful scenery. Even dropped people off at the botanical gardens or town if they wanted to, on the way back from the falls. Well worth it!
