Freedom Tower Miami incl Mostra Museo FIFA

Since my husband’s family came from Cuba to Miami, this was a highly emotional visitation for us. Upon entering the doors of the tower, I already started crying for my mother-in-law who has now passed. She came here when she was only 16 years old with nothing. This exhibit is rich and profound. We left there in total belief of the American dream and retrospectively thinking how we owe it to our immigrant family members to do more and be more.

We visited the Freedom Tower in Miami with the kids, mainly to see the FIFA museum. The FIFA exhibit was quite small, but overall it was okay for the price and still enjoyable for a quick visit. The other museum areas were more varied. The Cuban immigration exhibit was especially interesting and very informative, but it is definitely not suited for children due to the serious and emotional content. Since we were there with kids, it was a bit difficult to fully engage with that part of the experience. Overall, it’s a nice historic place to visit, but I would recommend planning ahead depending on the age of the children, as not all exhibits are family-friendly.

We visited the museum at Freedom Tower, and really enjoyed it. It’s a beautiful building with a fascinating history, and the museum is interesting, informative, and enjoyable. The entry fee wasn’t particularly cheap ($14 approx.) but as we spent about two hours in there, I think it was reasonable value.

I took a tour of this museum’s four (4) floors on a Sunday morning when this facility was quiet. I parked for free about a mile away from this museum. It cost me just under twenty dollars ($20.00) for my ticket. I explored the four (4) floors of the exhibits which ranged from the soccer balls, to the artwork, to the personal stories of people who fled the Fidel Castro regime. There were both the stairs and the elevator for the visitors to take. This museum had a gift shop and it had many restrooms. However, I was not able to access the top of this building.

The Freedom Tower is a must see. The entire museum, all four floors was first class. It gave us the understanding of what the Cubans experienced. I think it also brings healing to those that experienced it firsthand or have friends or family still in Cuba. The FIFA Museum was also very interesting. My out of state family said it was their highlight of their trip to South Florida.

Very beautiful building full of history and stories. The six displays in the tower shaped boxes are amazing!!

This significant cultural landmark was recently renovated and showcases immersive and thought-provoking exhibitions about the Cuban Exile Experience, History and Art in Miami. In the lobby do not miss the Kislak Gallery that has a gorgeous exhibition featuring PreColumbian and historical artifacts alongside a selection of contemporary artists, in the second floor the main show is Libertad which provides context and first hand testimonials of Cubans who left the island escaping the communist regime, there is also a small contemporary art gallery and a couple of unmissable sections like the Voices of Miami or the Knight Skylight Gallery that presents inspirational stories of immigrants who have founded significant Miami businesses. FIFA has an exhibition about soccer in the US that was organized in preparation before the upcoming World Cup in 2026.
