Conoscendo l'Isola Vittoria e assistendo allo spettacolo della Foresta di Arrayanes, è un piacere che è già stato vissuto da milioni di visitatori del Parco Nazionale, ma quest'isola attende ancora con le sue condizioni di conservazione intatte, i prossimi visitatori che arrivano a Puerto Anchorena per sbarcare e viaggiare.

Una specie unica Situato all'interno del Parco Nazionale Los Arrayanes, è l'unico che rimane al mondo, poiché da pochi anni quello che era in Giappone è scomparso. Oggi è diventata un'area protetta per l'importanza delle sue specie e per la varietà di vita autoctona. Il nome scientifico dell'Arrayán è Myrceugenella apiculata. Si stima che questi alberi autoctoni, insieme a quelli dell'isola Victoria, abbiano circa 300 anni. Il mirto è molto alto, raggiunge i 18 metri circa e alcuni esemplari raggiungono i 25 metri. Il suo tronco raggiunge circa 50 cm. di diametro ed è estremamente contorto. La corteccia, color cannella ricoperta da macchie bianche irregolari, è sempre fredda anche se morbida al tatto, si stacca in piatti. I fiori sono piccoli e bianchi, simili al fiore d'arancio e ai suoi frutti viola con i quali gli indigeni producevano chicha e dulce. Nella medicina popolare si prepara un infuso con le foglie per lenire dolori muscolari e disturbi intestinali
Percorreremo sentieri frondosi apprezzando le numerose specie arboree come sequoie, betulle, abeti, aromi, pini, ecc. Possiamo rinfrescarci (in estate, sì) nelle acque di Playa del Toro

Viator describes this tour as having a maximum number of 10 persons. That is why we selected it. Turns out we were on a boat with 100 people. Textbook case of bait and switch by Viator. The people running the boat and the guides leading the tour were very good.

This was a really enjoyable tour. Beautiful scenery and tremendous experience. Our tour guide, Malina, was extremely knowledgeable of the flora, trees and history of the island and forest. This tour company was excellent!!!

Very nice excursion. We asked for the english speaking tour and our guide was great. There were only two of us on the hike on victoria Island. We had a 50 minute hike at a good pace and saw lots of the island The boat ride was comfortable. In the beginning it was a bit confusing when we got to the port. We were not sure which boat and how things were organized. A few minutes explanation while still on bus would eliminate any confusion. Definitely recommend.

It was raining and I couldn't walk in the forest. The guide also doesn't provide much information. So it was just a boat ride.
