La gastronomia catalana è famosa nel mondo grazie a artisti del calibro di Ferran Adria, Carme Ruscadella e i fratelli Roca. Si è evoluto dalla semplice cucina di mercato a tapas creative con sensazioni di gusto e sapori in continua evoluzione. Durante questo tour gastronomico a piedi nel quartiere centrale ma autentico di El Born, a Barcellona, tracciamo "L'evoluzione della cucina catalana" dai suoi umili (ma deliziosi) inizi, fino ai piatti moderni che i famosi chef della regione hanno reso famosi. Iniziamo con un tour del meraviglioso mercato alimentare di Santa Caterina. Successivamente visiteremo un tradizionale bar di pintxos in stile basco per assaggiare l'immensa varietà della cucina del nord della Spagna. Successivamente ci dirigeremo verso una vivace taverna e avremo la possibilità di bere da una nave di porron spagnola. Infine, quale modo migliore per concludere un tour gastronomico se non la bodega, per assaggiare la cucina classica che i catalani apprezzano da generazioni? Potremo anche preparare il nostro pan amb tomaquet (pane al pomodoro).

This was such a fun tour! Our guide Bella met us in front of Mercat de Santa Caterina where the tour began. It was great having a local take us around each stall in the market and explain how it all works. From there we went to three different places for tapas and drinks in the Born district. This was so much more than a tapas tour though! Our guide went at a leisurely pace and pointed out points of interest between all our stops. The atmosphere is casual, and Bella took the time to help us to try out interesting tapas. The price for the tour is more than fair given the length and the personal experience! I would happily take this same tapas tour again if I'm in Barcelona again.

Would recommend this tour, excellent guide and the tapas were excellent walking in between the tapas bars and being shown some of the buildings and alleys for photos

Alejandra was amazing. We went to wonderful local places and had wonderful local foods. Her explanations about the history of the neighborhoods and the local foods made it fun for not only us but our three granddaughters who are 21, 17 and 16. I would definitely recommend this tour and most especially Alejandra to anyone. Sandy
Our guide Alejandra was excellent. We were a group of 5, my wife and I and three granddaughters aged 21 to 16. Alejandra made it fun and informative for all of us. The granddaughters were as thrilled with the tour as we were. We went to three restaurants and tried some great tapas and drinks in each restaurant. Between our food stops Alejandra kept us interested with lots of insider information about Barcelona. Overall a wonderful tour.
Alejandra provided us a wonderful and personal history of the Born neighborhood and Catalonia. She took us to her favorite places and shared her favorite dishes and drinks. We were the only tourists in each place and we were welcomed warmly.
