Il Battistero di San Giovanni di Pisa (in Italiano: Battistero di San Giovanni) è un edificio ecclesiastico cattolico di Pisa. La costruzione iniziò nel 1152 in sostituzione di un più antico battistero, e quando fu completato nel 1363, divenne il secondo edificio, in ordine cronologico, della Piazza dei Miracoli. La forma dell’edificio, il materiale utilizzato, la distribuzione degli spazi interni data dalle colonne e lo spazio tra le due cupole fanno sì che il Battistero crei un incredibile effetto di risonanza acustica, meglio conosciuto come Eco. Il suono si diffonde in tutto lo spazio, come un’onda continua, salendo di tonalità fino a suggerire la presenza di un coro angelico. Ogni mezz'ora il personale del Battistero esegue una piccola dimostrazione per i turisti: l'effetto è da non perdere.
La Cattedrale di Pisa è una cattedrale romano-cattolica dedicata all'Assunzione della Vergine Maria, situata nella Piazza dei Miracoli di Pisa, in Italia. È un notevole esempio di architettura romanica, in particolare dello stile conosciuto come romanico pisano
Ammira il campanile più famoso al mondo dall'esterno, la Torre Pendente di Pisa, conosciuta in tutto il mondo per la sua magra di quasi quattro gradi, frutto di una fondazione instabile. La torre si trova alle spalle del Duomo di Pisa ed è la terza struttura più antica della piazza del Duomo, dopo la cattedrale e il Battistero di Pisa.
La visita comprende la Galleria dell'Accademia dove all'interno si trova il David, la famosa scultura di Michelangelo. Il David di Michelangelo all’Accademia oltre all’opera del David, ci sono anche altre sculture e una vasta collezione di dipinti di artisti fiorentini.
La cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore (visita dall'esterno), con la sua bella cupola progettata dal Brunelleschi, è il duomo di Firenze. La costruzione iniziò nel 1296, in stile gotico su progetto di Arnolfo di Cambio e fu strutturalmente completata entro il 1436, con la cupola progettata da Filippo Brunelleschi. L'esterno della basilica è rivestito da pannelli di marmo policromo in varie tonalità di verde e rosa, bordati di bianco, e presenta un'elaborata facciata ottocentesca in stile gotico di Emilio De Fabris.
Il Battistero di San Giovanni sorge di fronte alla Cattedrale ed è l'antico centro religioso e civile della città, nonché un capolavoro del romanico italiano. È uno degli edifici più antichi della città: risale probabilmente al V secolo, e ha assunto l'aspetto attuale nell'XI-XII secolo. A pianta ottagonale, è rivestita all'esterno di marmo bianco e verde di Prato con motivi geometrici e presenta un tetto a otto sezioni; la decorazione fu arricchita nel XVI secolo da statue e bassorilievi. Le tre porte in bronzo dorato sono opera di Andrea Pisano (porta sud, costruita intorno al 1330), e Lorenzo Ghiberti (nord, 1402/25 e est, 1425/52). La porta est, con Storie dell'Antico Testamento, si apre verso la Cattedrale e fu definita da Michelangelo come la Porta del Paradiso; tutte le porte sono copie, gli originali sono conservati nel Museo dell'Opera del Duomo.
Adiacente alla cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore si trova il Campanile progettato da Giotto (visita all'esterno). Il Campanile di Giotto è il maestoso campanile della Cattedrale e uno dei capolavori del gotico Italiano. Il Campanile ha una base quadrata di circa 15 metri per lato con rinforzi angolari che si innalzano fino al coronamento orizzontale a sbalzo posto ad un’altezza di 84,7 metri.
Piazza della Signoria è stata al centro della vita politica di Firenze fin dal XIV secolo. La Piazza ha visto importanti eventi storici e grandi trionfi hanno avuto luogo, come il ritorno dei Medici nel 1530. Le famose sculture situate in Piazza della Signoria hanno riferimenti alle vicende politiche di Firenze. Il David (l’originale si trova nella Galleria dell’Accademia) fu creato da Michelangelo e posizionato di fronte a Palazzo Vecchio per simboleggiare il potere della Repubblica Fiorentina in contrasto con la tirannia dei Medici. Ercole e Caco (1534) del Bandinelli simboleggia invece la potenza fisica della famiglia.
Costruito nei pressi di un attraversamento di epoca romana, il Ponte Vecchio fu fino al 1218 l'unico ponte che attraversava l'Arno a Firenze. Sopra Ponte Vecchio si può vedere una parte del bellissimo Corridoio Vasariano. Questo corridoio, costruito nel 1565 da Giorgio Vasari, passa proprio sopra le botteghe orafe che attualmente si trovano ai lati del ponte. Commissionato dai Medici, permise loro di spostarsi da Palazzo Vecchio a Palazzo Pitti senza dover attraversare le strade di Firenze, in tutta sicurezza. Al momento della costruzione del Corridoio, le macellerie erano riunite sul Ponte Vecchio, la cui attività probabilmente disturbava il passaggio dei Medici, che nel 1593 le fecero spostare, sostituendole con le più "decorose" botteghe orafe.
Piazzale Michelangelo è il punto più suggestivo di Firenze. Da qui si può ammirare tutta la città con i suoi splendidi monumenti. Questa piazza è stata dedicata al grande artista rinascimentale Michelangelo e la copia del David si trova al centro della piazza accanto alle quattro allegorie delle Cappelle Medicee di San Lorenzo.

★★★★★ Absolutely the Highlight of Our Trip to Tuscany! I almost canceled this excursion because of the long drive from Rome, and I am so grateful that I didn’t. It ended up being our favorite tour of the entire trip! Our driver, Artur, was outstanding. The ride was smooth, comfortable, and safe, and with a rest stop halfway both to Tuscany and on the return trip, the drive was much easier than expected. Our tour leader, Nariman, made the hours fly by. He is incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating history, stories, and fun facts throughout the journey that kept everyone engaged. He also proudly called himself the “best photographer,” and he absolutely lived up to that title! He happily took countless photos for everyone throughout the day and made sure we all had wonderful memories to bring home. Pisa completely exceeded my expectations. Pictures simply do not do it justice. The Piazza dei Miracoli is breathtaking, and every building is stunning. One of the most unforgettable moments was inside the Baptistry when our guide requested a demonstration of its incredible acoustics. A staff member stepped into the center and sang, and hearing her beautiful voice echo throughout the building gave me chills. It was one of the most moving experiences of our entire vacation. Florence was equally amazing. Before we even arrived, Nariman made restaurant reservations for us so we didn’t have to waste our free time waiting for a table. That thoughtful gesture allowed us to enjoy over two hours exploring this incredible city. Our Florence guide, Luis, was fantastic. His passion for Florence, its history, and Michelangelo was obvious in every story he shared. He didn’t just recite facts. He brought the city to life and made us appreciate what we were seeing so much more. The perfect ending to an already incredible day was when Artur drove us up to Piazzale Michelangelo for the panoramic overlook of Florence. I had the most amazing small group tour from Rome to Pisa and Florence. Nariman, our guide was fun, engaging, kind, inclusive, and brilliant. Emanuele, our driver, was also very welcoming, a great driver, very observant, engaging, and handled any challenges with ease. I trusted these guys with my life. I would send my kids on the road with them. These gentlemen are such an asset to this company. They made my first trip to Italy so memorable. As a bonus, members of my tour have all become friends. We check in with one another, and have even made plans to meet up to visit in our respective cities. We were able to become friendly with another group on the same tour. Even the guide from that group was so helpful with our group. He made sure we didn’t lag behind or wander off. The restaurant we visited in Florence was so good. Our driver, Luigi, should be a NASCAR driver. He drives fast, but very carefully. He is also a great person to hang out with. Very glad to we got to meet him. Our guide, Malak, was amazing! She was very informative and kind. She even gave my wife and daughter a great place to get real authentic leather purses. She was an expert on what we were observing, and continually filled us in with local information. The best part of all, was that 90% of the time, it was just my family, Malak and Luigi. You could not have asked for a better trip. It was worth every penny!

Nariman and Roberto were INCREDIBLE!!! The tour is incredibly long at 14 hours, including 7 hours of drive time, but with these two leading the way, it didn’t feel that way.
