Inizieremo l'esperienza provando aguas frescas
A questa sosta, ci tufferemo nella birria, un ricco stufato a cottura lenta di Jalisco. Realizzata con carne tenera e marinata e una miscela di peperoncini e spezie, la birria è celebrata per i suoi sapori audaci e sapidi. Servito con cipolle fresche, coriandolo e una spremuta di lime, questo piatto è un vero assaggio della tradizione messicana.
In questa sosta, gusteremo zuppe condite con carnitas, un delizioso duo che mette in risalto il tradizionale cibo di strada messicano. Le zuppe sono torte di mais spesse e pressate a mano con una leggera croccantezza, stratificate con fagioli fritti, lattuga fresca e formaggio sbriciolato. A completare il tutto ci sono succose e tenere carnitas: carne di maiale a cottura lenta e saporita che si scioglie in bocca. Ogni boccone offre una miscela perfetta di consistenze e sapori ricchi e autentici!
In questa sosta, assaporeremo i tacos di pesce in stile Baja, un classico costiero noto per i suoi sapori freschi e vivaci. Le morbide tortillas di mais sono ripiene di pesce croccante e dorato, condite con cavolo fresco, un pizzico di lime e un filo di salsa cremosa. Questo taco leggero e rinfrescante porta il gusto perfetto della cucina di mare del Messico!
In questa sosta, ci immergeremo in una varietà di tacos de guisado, ognuno riempito con saporiti stufati come manzo, pollo o maiale, cotti lentamente con spezie ed erbe. Questi ripieni abbondanti vengono serviti in tortillas di mais calde, condite con cipolle fresche e coriandolo. Godremo anche di una ricca talpa, una salsa dolce-salata a base di peperoncini, cioccolato e spezie, che aggiunge un sapore profondo e complesso ai tacos, una vera delizia messicana!
A questa fermata, ci dedicheremo alla paletas, un rinfrescante ghiaccio messicano a base di frutta fresca, latte cremoso o persino cioccolato. This was a 10/10 experience! My 18yo daughter and I had a private tour because no one else was booked and wow! Adrian was our guide and he was absolutely wonderful, easy going, accommodating, knowledgeable, smart, and just fun to be with. We went to 6 places I would never have found myself, ate foods I never would have known to try, and really had an adventure. If there was anything we didn't want he made adjustments (my daughter does not eat pork but I do). Be open minded and adventurous and you will have a blast. One last bit of advice: do not eat the full portion at your first few places or you won't have room for the last few. I definitely got full quickly so be mindful of that. Its a good bit of walking too, so wear comfortable shoes - and dress super casual - these are not fancy places, but wow so delicious!
Turned out we were the only 2 so had a private tour. Food and guide were a 10. Would have liked to been taken 2 nicer places but food was great.
First and foremost, make sure to come hungry! There was almost too much food, but it was all really delicious so you do not want to eat beforehand. The tour guide was really friendly, the food was of good variety, and make sure to wear good shoes as there is a good bit of walking! Overall, a really good tour!

Arlin was amazing tour guide! She was on time to meet us at a very easy to find location. She took us to so many local spots. Everything we ate was delicious. Arlin told us about the local culture and answered all our questions. Whatever you do make sure to go with an empty stomach, you will not leave hungry!!

Arlene was the absolute best! We ended up just my husband and I and we had some wonderful conversations and got to know our host. We went to some fabulous hidden gems where the food and people were wonderful! She took Our food preferences and did an amazing job of ordering our food how we liked each time. The food was amazing and we felt like we were eating where the locals go! Highly recommend, we def found a couple gems to go back to.

Arlene was wonderful,very friendly,informative and her English was perfect,since our Spanish is not. The food was delicious and very authentic. We would recommend her tour.
Wonderful guide, friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of yummy food and a real taste of the local food. No rush and a perfect amount of time to experience a tasting all the way to dessert.
