Fisherman's Wharf Hidden Gems Tour + crociera sulla baia del Golden Gate

Descrizione

This was a once in a lifetime experience for my wife and I. We travelled out to California for our Honeymoon, and San Francisco was the end of our trip. The tour of Fisherman's Wharf was not only scenic and fun, but our tour guide Dara shared so much interesting historical information about the area. The 2 hour tour flew by, and we hadn't even experienced the best part of our day. We then boarded 'The Golden Gate' boat and travelled out to the Golden Gate Bridge. Getting to sail under the bridge and back to shore was one of the coolest experiences we've ever had in our lives. This was a 12/10 tour that I would recommend to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable day.
The boat ride with Sal was fun and we spent time under the Golden Gate Bridge learning about its history. The added walking tour, though in depth and interesting, was a little too long (almost 2 hours). But John was very knowledgeable about the city and answered all of our questions.
I it was an amazing experience from the boat ride on the “Golden Gate” with Captain Sal to the walking tour with Dara. Both guides were knowledgable and patient with all my questions. Captain Sal even let me steer the boat, it was an exuberant and great time all around. THANK YOU, Captain Sal and Dara, I will treasure this experience!!
Seth was a terrific tour guide. The history lesson was awesome. Quality information you can’t just find online. Lefty’s welcome!
Seth was a great guide. He told us lots of back stories about San Francisco. He walked at a nice pace and answered all our questions. We highly recommend him.
Sal and Dara were both outstanding tour guides and hosts! We loved the personal attention along with interesting history connecting them to the beauty of San Francisco Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Fisherman’s Wharf!
Loved wandering around with Seth - he was so knowledgeable and has such enthusiasm about the area! Took in all the sites we wanted to see - Musée Mechanique, sea lions, sourdough shop and we learned about Angel Island which was new info for me.
We did the Fisherman's Wharf and Exploratorium tour, which was awesome. I was told that the Exploratorium part of the tour is going away, to be replaced by an optional bay cruise, but I can say that the Fisherman's Wharf walking tour is well-worth your time. My friends and I originally booked this tour because it included the Exploratorium tickets at below ticket prices. We figured that we'd ask to leave the walking tour early. As it turned out, we were the only ones on the walking tour, and we enjoyed it so much that we stayed for the whole duration. Dara was a wonderful guide! She is an SF native, as I am, and she taught me things about my city that I didn't know. The tour started at Ghiradelli Square and ended at the Exploratorium. We mostly walked but also took the trolley for a bit. We got to eat a bit of chocolate, and we took a lunch break at Boudin (optional). We stopped at the Musee Mecanique (historically cool but creepy) and saw the sea lions at Pier 39. It was all the stuff that I didn't do as a San Franciscan but really enjoyed in a group of my non-native friends. I can say honestly that I'd go on this tour again, just to hang out with Dara and enjoy the lovely SF coastline. We didn't do the bay cruise because we had some kids there, and some were too young for the cruise (also we wanted to go to the Exploratorium), but I think it'd be fun for older kids and their families.
This tour was very informative about San Francisco's History on Fisherman's Warf. The Old Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory smelled delish and we got a sample which was amazing. My favorite part was the antique arcade. Lunch break at Boudin lived up to the hype. We got to get some scenic pictures along the way. Even got to see some hidden treasures. Can't wait to book the boat tour next time. D was an amazing guide and very informative. I also enjoyed her intelective and fun energy. Thank you for a great experience.
Eric was informative and energetic - the perfect guide! He made the tour fun and tailored it to our interest, welcomed questions, and went at our pace. He leaned into our desire to know the history and offered more information than we will ever be able to recall. He showed us how to get around the crowds, where to take the best pictures, shared restaurant ideas and tips for our next trip to San Francisco. We loved our time with him. Recommend you include in the description that this is a walking tour (fisherman’s warf and Ghirardelli chocolate experience). We did not know that and it would have changed our expectations and shoe choice. Also be aware that you finish this tour quite a distance from where you started. Also, the Ghirardelli experience is not a chocolate tasting but a shop.
Thank you for your review! We just updated our description to include the Golden Gate Bay Voyage. I hope you'll come back and join us again! Thanks, Dara
