Itinerario

This was a great experience and well worth it. We were there with our 2 daughters who are 20 and 26. As other reviews have stated, they give a driving test to each person to ensure their safety. Both of my daughters maneuvered the course successfully but neither passed as they could tell they were not comfortable. These Vespas are much heavier than they expected. In my opinion, I am glad they took that care and that my daughters did not ride them. Instead they both rode in a Fiat mini car and they both loved that experience very much. I even offered to have one of them split time riding on the back of my Vespa and switching with my wife, but one just preferred the car and liked it. I have seen other people complaining how testing was long or that people failed and couldn’t drive. But after experiencing this, I respect them more for their patience and caring to ensure everyone’s safety. They do work with people to give a chance. For example, one man nearly drove his Vespa directly into the building which was only 20’ from the start of the driving test. But rather than failing, they walked him back, talked to him about what happened, and let him go again and passed. Did he did fine on the tour. Our tour guide Luca was great and I highly recommend this tour as it was one of our favorites out of Rome, Florence and Venice. The views in Tuscany were great and included a nice lunch too. Can’t go wrong booking this and I would do it again.
Mira and Elena were amazing tour guides and made sure we were all safe while also having so much fun. You are able to see so much of Florence and learn about some of the incredible history. The food is also very good!

Honest Review- Starting out, they had us all try out the vespas. One of the first girls to go was seated on the Vespa and the guide helped her with the acceleration handle and it took off FAST. She wasn’t ready and lost control, ran into a metal fence and fell off. As they helped her up, I didn’t hear anything about concern for her or an apology for revving it too much too fast, I heard them telling her she would need to pay for the damages to the Vespa. After that, they did not allow any other females in our group to drive (even though one had experience and seemed to ride just fine). I don’t know if I was more angry about them “lumping” our gender together over a mistake that didn’t seem to be wholly her fault or that, despite the rider clearly being hurt and bloodied, the repair fees were among the first things mentioned. It should not be advertised as a Vespa tour if 1. They are so hard to drive that only two out of our group were approved to drive or 2. They feel that females are not as equipped to drive (in which case it should be called a male Vespa tour). It should be advertised as a car tour with the possibility of driving a Vespa if you are well experienced. I still think about that poor young girl.. If she is alright and how much she had to pay them for the damages to the Vespa she didn’t even get to ride. OUCH!
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! Riding Vespas through the beautiful Tuscan countryside was an unforgettable experience, with stunning views around every corner. Our guide was friendly, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the ride. The route was scenic and well planned, giving us the perfect mix of winding country roads, charming villages, and incredible landscapes. The food and Chianti wine tasting at the country estate were the perfect way to end the tour. Everything was delicious, and the setting couldn't have been more beautiful. If you're comfortable riding a scooter, don't miss this tour. It's the perfect combination of adventure, breathtaking scenery, and authentic Tuscan hospitality.

Miri made this such a special experience. We started with the Vespa explanation and driving test that seemed intimidating, but Miri supported us throughout and was very patient. She made sure we felt safe and confident on the Vespa for the tour. Miri was very knowledgeable and positive. Would recommend to anyone!
If you have no experience with a Vespa, do not do it. Better to book one with a driver to get the experience. They judge you on your first try in a parking lot and then put you in a car rather than give you the chance to pick it up.
You are allowed 2 trial runs after the full explanation is given. If you were told you could not go after the first one it would have meant you were at risk of potentially having an accident there on the training, something which we want to avoid for your safety. We offer you to drive a fiat if you are not able to drive a vespa so that you do not miss out on the tour.
Great tour. Mirella our tour guide was amazing-5 stars. Our only criticism is that a lot of time was spent getting ready to use the Vespas. We understand everyone needs to learn to use them and be safe. We just felt that process could have been more efficient and that way we could have had more time to ride. Having said that we would still highly recommend the tour.
Elena and Marina were the tour operators. They did a wonderful job making sure to explain how to use the Vespa's and ensuring everyone was capable of riding. If people were not comfortable on the Vespa there was a cute mini electric car that they could drive.

A wonderful way to see the countryside outside of Florence. We greatly enjoyed, Gabriel, our very knowledgeable tour guide. Care was taken to make sure we could each operate the Vespas safely (and an alternative vehicle was offered for folks who could not). The meal was very good. Highly recommend!

First the good part. The Vespa’s were very nice. They also had vintage Fiat’s that some of the others in our group selected, they were very nice. For those who weren’t capable of driving the Vespa, they had brand new electric Fiat Topolino two seaters that were available - super nice equipment and facility. Now the unfortunate part. 1) It was a 40 min ride in a bus to the facility, on the way back the bus had ZERO air conditioning. It was 97F outside and I estimate it was nearing or over 100F in the bus, miserable to say the least. 2) They had everyone perform a basic test to see who was and wasn’t capable of operating a Vespa. All fine and get that, problem is they let folks who were marginal at best pass and others who were fine fail. There were two gals administering the test and honestly, it was very unorganized so I think they got confused as to whom they were passing and failing on their sheet. I’m sure they’d blame it on “we have to deny scooter operation for people’s safety”, which is fine, but the process made no sense. Then after a long buss ride in a 100 degree bus they asked for a 5 star rating and took no accountabilty, just not doing it in this case. With a better bus ride and an organized evaluation, I’d still only give them 3 stars. Bottom line, great equipment and facilities, poor execution.
We are sorry to read this review as it seems we have been penalised in the rating for something that does not normally happen. There must have been unusual traffic for the journey to take so long and our vehicles are all air-conditioned so there must have been a problem on this particular day. As for the organisation, our guides are experienced and know exactly what to look for when deciding who can drive safely and with whom a risk cannot be taken. Maybe this wasn't clear to you on the day.
