Instructor - Giulian was funny and knowledgeable and explained everything along the way. His cooking expertise was evident and made the experience all the more enjoyable. The pasta was delicious as was the pomodoro sauce. The ravioli was cooked to perfection!
Chef Judah was very good with our small group, just the 4 of us. The experience planning our meal with the fresh ingredients and making the pasta was fun! And then eating it was great! He even accommodated our gluten free family member with a treat from another class happening the same night.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the experience, from selecting the fresh ingredients to making and enjoying your pasta together. Just one small note 😊 — the chef who had the pleasure of cooking with your group was actually Giulio . We will be sure to share your lovely feedback with him; he will be delighted to hear it! Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back to Florence for another culinary adventure in the future. Chef Vary & Team
My wife and I traveled to Italy to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and decided to book this experience. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Giulio was a fantastic host—funny, energetic, and clearly passionate about cooking and sharing his love of food. As it turned out, we were the only participants that day, so we enjoyed a private, hands-on, one-on-one experience with the chef. We made spinach and ricotta ravioli, tagliatelle with mushrooms, and gnocchi with marinara sauce. Giulio made the entire experience enjoyable, guiding us step by step through the pasta-making process. We also had the opportunity to meet Chef Vary, who was wonderful as well. If you’re looking for an authentic and memorable experience, I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Italy.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review — it truly means a lot to us. We are honored that you chose to celebrate your 30th wedding anniversary with this experience, and even more that it became one of the highlights of your trip. I will personally pass your kind words on to Giulio — he will be very happy to hear them. He puts so much passion and energy into every class, and it’s wonderful to know that it made your experience so special. Having a private, hands-on moment like that makes everything even more memorable! It was also a real pleasure for me to meet you, even if just briefly. Thank you again for your recommendation and for sharing your experience — we hope to welcome you back one day for another cooking adventure! Warm regards, Varinia (Chef Vary)
Small group size in a real kitchen with a nice home kitchen feel. Our chef was an awesome teacher giving us individual attention. The recipes were delicious.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Imagine homemade pasta and love in a single serving. Chef Vary is an angel in an apron. Her husband and sister-in-law flow with wine, salumi and kindness. Among the best experiences I've ever had..
So much fun. Excellent chef who taught us in such an entertaining manner Leaned a lot about making pasta, sauces and about Florence Our dinner, that we all helped make, was so delicious as was the wine. Highly recommend this class if you enjoy cooking, learning and eating.
We had so much fun and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend this cooking class! We made 2 pasta dishes and gnocchi. Our group was 3 couples in their (20s, 40s and 50s) and everyone loved it.
The best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had. Guilio was amazing and funny and made us feel very comfortable taking our first pasta-making class.
Had a great time learning to make pasta from scratch. Out of the tagliatelle, ravioli, and gnocchi, my favorite was the ravioli by a mile.
Great pasta class! Would highly recommend. The small group was perfect. We laughed and learned a lot. Chef was fun! Dinner and wine after was so relaxing and food amazing.
