Ci sono solo 4 Basiliche Maggiori al mondo - la più alta classificazione di tutte le chiese - e sono tutte a Roma. Seguendo le orme di santi e pellegrini per secoli e millenni prima di voi, vi diamo la possibilità di visitare le Quattro Basiliche Maggiori Pontificie di Roma e disporvi verso la ricezione delle indulgenze allegate. Le Antiche Quattro Basiliche Maggiori di Roma sono la Basilica di San Pietro, la Basilica di San Paolo fuori le Mura, la Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore e l'Arci-Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. Itinerario
Il nostro tour inizia in Vaticano con la Basilica di San Pietro costruita sul luogo dove ancora riposa il corpo di San Pietro. Una volta entrato a San Pietro, la nostra esperta guida cattolica ti farà visitare l'interno della Basilica, inclusa la Pietà di Michelangelo, le reliquie e gli altari dei maggiori santi della Chiesa cattolica e la storia coinvolta e, naturalmente, il corpo di San Pietro. Pietro sepolto qui sotto l'altare maggiore.
La Basilica di San Paolo fuori le Mura è dove ancora oggi si trovano le spoglie del grande Apostolo delle genti, San Paolo. I pellegrini vedranno le catene che legarono San Paolo durante la sua incarcerazione e gli arresti domiciliari qui a Roma prima di vedere anche il suo sarcofago appena scavato prima di fare un tour del resto di questa antica Basilica Teodosiana.
Arcibasilica di San Giovanni in Laterano (San Giovanni) - Cattedrale di Roma. Qui riceverai nuovamente un tour dettagliato dell'interno e della sua storia, inclusa la storia degli antichi mosaici, e ti troverai davanti alle teste dei Santi Pietro e Paolo, portate nella Basilica e collocate sopra l'altare nel 1300.
Santa Maria Maggiore (Santa Maria Maggiore) - forse la più antica chiesa dedicata a Maria a Roma, ma sicuramente la più importante - per ammirare ancora una volta il suo interno dorato e imparare tutto sulle affascinanti caratteristiche tra cui i diversi papi sepolti qui, le reliquie di il presepe della natività di Cristo, l'icona miracolosa della Salus Populi Romani e innumerevoli altre bellezze.

This was a truly great experience and a wonderful way to visit the four major Basilicas in this Jubilee year! The guide was extremely informative and I felt confident that he could answer any question I had. The Basilicas are beautiful and meaningful and I’m really glad I got to experience them in this way. We had no idea how difficult it would be to communicate with Roman Vacations and how unresponsive they were when we had concerns about the time for meeting for the 4 Basilicas tour. This was an important highlight to us and the biggest problem was the incorrect meeting time provided to us on the emailed confirmation form. What was provided to us via email was different from what their records provided. When we followed up with Roman Vacations, there was no open communication; according to them, we were the problem and they did not reimburse a cent of money for having missed the 4 Basilica tour. They were not truthful, which makes this company unethical and opportunistic to scamming tourists. I would NOT recommend using Roman Vacations to anyone who is thinking of traveling to Rome in the future. Beware! Do NOT employ this company!
Ciao! As per our previous discussions you were informed of the start time months before the tour date. You even acknowledged the new start time during the initial discussions. You attended the tour and then decided to leave the group and after our guide had spent a period of time trying to locate you, they had to make the decision to continue the tour as we have set entrance times we cannot miss. If you had stayed with the tour group you would not have missed out on anything. We hope you managed to enjoy the rest of your time in Rome
Our tour guide Paul was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the Basilicas, Rome, the Jubilee and the Catholic Church. He encouraged questions and we had some great conversations. So much more than your typical tour that is just filled with text book facts
