Great trip with prompt hotel pick up. Everything ran as scheduled and a great swim stop off on the way back. Comfy seats for a much shorter trip from Rhodes to Symi than other providers
I booked this trip directly through Rhodes Sea Line while I was in Rhodes. I paid €10 deposit per person and €5 each for a return transfer included as we needed taxis into Rhodes town anyway it was the cheapest option. I received a message the day before the trip confirming the pick up time. They were there at the correct time on the morning. I booked the 9am boat. We arrived at the Harbour and were directed to a kiosk to pay the remaining balance then got boarding passes for the speed boat. The crew were lovely. We departed on time and it is a good hour or just over to get to Simi. I am glad it was a calm day as I can imagine with the way the wind can be it could be rough. Arriving in Simi is beautiful! We got off the boat and were told what time boarding starts and what time they leave for the return trip. You are free to explore. We started to walk to find the Instagram spot at Kali Strada. It was hard work climbing the stairs in 30 degree heat. We stopped for a drink in a lovely cafe. I don’t actually think we reached the correct point, we were getting short on time and wanted food so we headed back down. We still got lovely pictures. We found a nice place for a sandwich and ice cream. We boarded the boat at 12.45 and were not due to sale toll 13.15. It was really hot on the boat, no breeze so it may be a better idea to board at the end but then you may not get a seat. We set sail again to St George’s bay where we stopped for a 30 min swim. It is a bit rushed buy the time everyone gets to the steps or jumps off the front and then some people want to get back on etc. The sea is warm and so blue it was gorgeous. Just wish we had a bit longer. The captain sounds the horn for everyone to get back on the boat and head back to Rhodes. The bus was waiting for us on our return and got back to our hotel about 15,30. Lovely day, well organised, staff lovely, just enough time in Simi as there’s not a lot to do but it’s worth seeing. Communication was perfect. 👌🏻 Just make sure you have a hat! That sun doesn’t feel hot in the breeze!!!
Excellent. Loved the boat, loved Symi. Swim was absolutely amazing. Definitely a must do. Staff and service b professional.
Good organization, friendly staff, correct departure times and what a nice swim stop on Saint Georges Bay. Recommended!
The whole experience was a rush was asked to go earlier on day due to winds. Got there sitting eating lunch was asked to rush get back otherwise we would be been stuck there. Due to sea police it was very worrying
Brilliant experience. Was picked up in Ixia at 10.20am for 11am start. Didn’t feel sick once on the boat. I think because it was going fast and skimming the waves. You do get slightly wet sat on the bottom front. Symi is definitely worth a visit. Very beautiful. You get 3 hours to spend how you wish around the town. We had a nice lunch and wonder around exploring. Once your time was up you headed back to the boat to go to St George’s bay. We sat on top this time for a proper view. At St George’s bay you get 30 mins to swim in the very blue water. They give you foam sticks to help swim. We were then back to the harbour for around 5.15pm. A great tip is take some water with you as you can’t purchase anything on the boat. Staff are very friendly.
A great trip from Rhodes to see the lovely island of Symi. Easy pick and return from our hotel, staff on the boat very friendly, fast and good journey in 60 minutes to Symi. Then plenty of time to wander round, have a drink, do some shopping; then a 30 minute swim in crystal clear water on the way back. Good value for a family of 5, speedy crossing meant it wasn’t a very long day, just about right.
Well worth doing. Symi is worth the visit and you get just enough time there. The swim stop on the way back is nice also. Would do it again.
A lovely trip! Would wish you could be longer on Symi, as this was an incredibly nice island. The boat ride is fast, and you have to count on getting wet from the water. Set on the 2nd floor of the boat, which made it a little better. Drove to the agreed time and good service from the staff. Will without a doubt come back again! Highly recommended for anyone considering. Also good food and drink at Symi!
Good option to get to Symi plus the swim stop was great to beat the heat! There are 120-150 people on the boat and majority of the boat is not covered. While returning back from Symi, try to board early to get a covered seat as the heat gets pretty bad by afternoon between June-August. For the price it is a good tour! You could also use public ferry to get to Symi in your own time but for ease, this tour is good. 3 hours in Symi is good enough to have a meal and explore the town. The operator is also well organised and everything is managed well so you can trust them.
