Una volta superati i 180, ne rimangono solo circa 25, essendo sopravvissuti alle ampie ristrutturazioni del barone Haussmann. Ci fermeremo a vedere le colonne di Buren, uno degli spot più Instagrammed di Parigi!
Dopo aver esplorato i primi passaggi coperti, faremo una breve passeggiata fino alla Galerie Vivienne, uno dei portici più belli e storici di Parigi. Costruito nel 1823, presenta squisiti pavimenti in piastrelle di mosaico, decorazioni neoclassiche e una splendida tettoia in vetro che riempie la galleria di luce naturale. Un tempo luogo di ritrovo alla moda per i parigini del XIX secolo, oggi ospita eleganti boutique, librerie e wine bar, una perfetta miscela di storia e stile.
Proseguiremo attraverso il quartiere e passeremo per il Palais Brongniart, l'ex Borsa di Parigi (Borsa), costruita all'inizio del 1800 e un tempo cuore finanziario della Francia. Da lì ci dirigiamo verso il vivace Passage des Panoramas, il più antico passaggio coperto di Parigi, risalente al 1799. Fiancheggiato da boutique vintage, negozi di francobolli e accoglienti bistrot, è il paradiso degli amanti del cibo: vorrai sicuramente tornare qui per pranzo dopo il tour!
Dopo aver assaggiato le delizie del Passage des Panoramas, continueremo nell'affascinante Passage Jouffroy, costruito nel 1847 e uno dei primi portici di Parigi ad essere costruito interamente in ferro e vetro. Condivide le sue mura con il famoso Musée Grévin, lo storico museo delle cere di Parigi, e ospita ancora l'Hotel Chopin, un pittoresco hotel del XIX secolo in cui si dice che alberghino non solo i turisti, ma anche lo spirito di Frédéric Chopin. We thoroughly enjoyed our covered passages tour in Paris. Allison shared such interesting history of the passages and helped us to understand how they came to be - who built them, who shopped there, who worked there - and how each passage is so different from the rest. She really brought them to life for us. It was a very special way to experience a side of Paris we had never seen before. Highly recommend this tour!
Opens up a new facet of Paris to the traveler who has seen the main city sites. Architecture and beauty combined with the historical perspective is wonderful.

Allison and Riley knocked it out of the park with this tour! Not what I was expecting! So much more. I have been to Paris 6 other times and did not know about these passages! The learn the history behind the passages is worth the tour. But, you also get to see all of the cute shops!! Allison and Riley are personable and knowledgeable in so much more! Allison was friendly, knowledgeable, answered all our questions and took her time without rushing us. She surprised us with a little French dessert at the beginning of the tour and we ended the tour at a coffee shop where we enjoyed a cup of coffee together. This gave us a chance to talk further about French culture and habits. I would give this 10 stars if I could!! We would not have known about the passages had it not been for this tour - so this gave us a starting point for more exploration!
