BUONE NOTIZIE AGGIORNAMENTO! – Prezzo congelato per la stagione 2026/27 Questo è un tour divertente e condiviso che incorpora pinguini, panorami fantastici e alcune brevi passeggiate il tutto in grande compagnia delle nostre guide locali accreditate che condivideranno le loro conoscenze e intuizioni personali di vivere in una parte remota del mondo. Se arrivate su una nave da crociera, ci incontreremo presso l'area di atterraggio del tender (Jetty Visitor Centre) per l'orario di partenza 9 : 00 o 12.00 per il tour di 2,5 ore. Il tour della città prende in tutti i punti di riferimento locali e offriamo la possibilità di lasciare il tour al Museo che si trova a pochi passi (10 minuti) dal Jetty Visitor Centre, o tornare al punto di prelievo. Il tour prevede alcune passeggiate su terreno irregolare quindi non è adatto per sedie a rotelle o per chi ha ausili per la mobilità.

NB : 04/12/2025 Yorke Bay è nuovamente aperta al pubblico. Nel caso in cui la baia di Yorke sia chiusa in qualsiasi momento durante la stagione, estenderemo il tour sia a est (Sapper Hill, aree Wireless Ridge) che a ovest di Stanley (Cape Pembroke, Surf Bay) per assicurarti la massima copertura dell'area di Stanley. Siate certi che, sebbene ci possano essere meno pinguini, il contenuto sostitutivo e la qualità delle nostre guide vi garantiranno di essere ben informati su tutte le cose Falklands dall'inizio alla fine.
All'estremità orientale del porto di Stanley si trova il relitto più imponente e iconico di Stanley. Conosciuta come Lady Liz, la nave fu varata a Sunderland nel Regno Unito nel 1879 e subì danni mentre doppiava Capo Horn nel 1913. Zoppicò fino a Stanley per le riparazioni, ma i costi elevati ne impedirono l'esecuzione. Dopo vari ormeggi nel porto di Stanley, nel 1936 una violenta tempesta costrinse la Lady Liz a raggiungere il suo attuale luogo di riposo. Questo è il posto preferito per scattare foto con lo sfondo di Stanley e le montagne a ovest.
FIGAS, (Servizio aereo governativo delle Isole Falkland) opera con aerei Islander dall'ottobre 1979 ed è l'operatore più meridionale del tipo. L'attuale flotta di cinque isolani è essenziale per mantenere le comunità più remote collegate a Stanley. Oltre ai voli aerotaxi, la compagnia aerea effettua anche voli di ambulanza, consegna di posta, trasporto merci, monitoraggio ambientale, pattugliamento della pesca e voli panoramici.
Situata verso l'estremità occidentale di Stanley su Ross Road, la Government House è sia la casa che il luogo di lavoro del governatore che è il rappresentante di re Carlo nelle Falkland.
Costruito nel 1933 dalle mascelle di due balene blu, commemora un secolo di continua amministrazione britannica nelle Falkland. Situato fuori dalla cattedrale di Christchurch, vicino al supermercato, al negozio di souvenir e al pontile del tender, offre eccellenti opportunità fotografiche ed è consigliato come punto di riconsegna per i visitatori delle navi da crociera.
Gli isolani sono molto orgogliosi del Museo che offre uno spaccato approfondito della storia sociale e marittima delle Isole. Fai attenzione però perché il tempo scorre via molto velocemente quando entri e vieni accolto dallo staff che sarà felice di chiacchierare e rispondere alle tue domande. Consigliato come punto di sosta facoltativo alla fine del tour, con solo una breve passeggiata fino al pontile del tender per i visitatori delle navi da crociera.

Informative and entertaining. Our guide Sharon was born and bred Falkland Islander. Very knowledgeable about local wildlife and life in general on the islands. Would highly recommend to future visitors.

This was a great tour. I learned a lot and had a lot of questions answered. The only thing was the problem with hearing the guide due to the speakers/microphone etc going in and out. A little rushed for people that had some accessibility issues like my friend.
Apologies for the mic problem on your tour, that was a one off and we now have a good stock of batteries on board, but glad that you learned a lot about the Falklands

Our guide and driver were wonderful and very informative. Loved seeing the Gentoo Penguin colony and especially them on the beach with the dolphins jumping in the ocean behind them

so I would not recommend this tour. The tour operator could not of been better! and the tour was, ok. but if you are coming to the Falkland Islands you need to spend the money and go to volunteer point. I guess I'd say it's gypsy cove that I don't recommend. which is where this tour goes. Yes, we saw penguins, and even king penguins, but you get what you pay for. And I just wish we had paid the money to see the best or most penguins. tour operator went over, beyond, and above! But I would recommend other areas over gypsy cove.

Trip was exactly as described and Rob, our guide, was interesting and informative. We saw Magellenic, Gentoo and even some King penguins at Yorke Bay. We had a bit of time to spare, so Rob took us to the lighthouse as well. I thought that the trip was a bit expensive for the length, but this seems to be the case on the island. I guess they have to make up for all the ships that don't get in, in which case we are very lucky! 😀

A really fun and informative tour . Sharon was an excellent guide , knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour, who was ably assisted by her driver Kaps . Sharon and Kaps between them paid care to the less able walkers in the group while ensuring that this did not impact on other members of the group. Communication prior to the trip was excellent, especially considering that a change of cruise itinerary meant arriving a day earlier than scheduled. Thank you Sharon and Kaps for a fantastic day , we do enjoyed meeting you and the penguins were an added bonus!
