Paul was our tour guide for the City Tour. Paul was a wealth of knowledge and shared it with us in a very professional manner. His easy going personality and sense of humor made for a very pleasant experience.
Paul gave us a very informative and fun tour.
Sam did a wonderful job! We enjoyed learning about the Alaskan culture.
Amazing Tour! First-Paul was the BEST! So, if you take this tour-request him! He was personable, professional, insightful, and his expertise in Fairbanks information is unmatched. I have taken Viator tours in the past, and Paul went above and beyond what other tours offered. Our tour took us to the Alaskan Pipeline, two museums and the North Pole. Paul went above at each of these stops. He also shared the “hidden gems” of the city. It was a tour worth taking!
Great start to our first day in Alaska. Our guide Sam picked us up bright and early at our hotel. He began sharing info about Alaska immediately and answered my many questions too. I was surprised at how fascinating the two museums were. I apparently didn’t know much about Alaska and learned many new facts. If Sam didn’t know the answer to a question, he would google it and let me know the answer. One of the many highlights of the day was a great ice cream cone at Santa’s House. Delicious and huge.

The guide Paul was fantastic! He picked me up precisely on time, then went on to pick up the next party, meanwhile talking about my photography hobby. He's very engaging, knowledgeable, and humorous, too (what's the difference between caribou and reindeer? Reindeers can fly!). He can be quite dramatic in his delivery of information throughout the Cultural Center where a Road Scholar group tagged along with us from one exhibit to another, and at the Pipeline where a female bystander told him he was so invigorating in his presentation. We even got to see the muskox and wood bison farms. He talked about buying a house and living in Fairbanks, and his love for learning at the University. He provided suggestions for so many places to eat in town as well as additional historical places to visit. At the end, he dropped me off in the nick of time for my next tour (we had been delayed due to roadwork - "There are two seasons in Fairbanks...winter and construction!").
Our city tour today was absolutely fantastic! Our guide, Dan, was incredible—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about Alaska. He shared so much interesting history, local culture, and fascinating facts that made the experience both informative and engaging. Dan went out of his way to answer questions, point out special places, and make the tour fun and memorable. Because of our tour guide, I would give this tour 10 stars.
Paul was an excellent tour guide. He was engaging, knowledgeable and fun. He was so good that a group of travelers in the Morris Thompson Cultural Center, started following us listening to his expert narration!
Our tour guide George picked us up promptly at 8:00 at our hotel for our Fairbanks City Summer Tour. We were the only ones scheduled for that day so he was able to really show us the city. We visited the Morris Thompson Museum, the University of Alaska at Fairbanks Campus & museum, the Alaska Pipeline, a tour of downtown, the salmon hatchery, North Pole, Alaska & Santa Clause House. George was very knowledgeable about Fairbanks & answered all of our questions. He was one of the best tour guides that we have ever had & a very interesting man to talk with. We loved the tour & would highly recommended it if you want to learn about Fairbanks.
