We had a blast on our boat ride. Our guide Nano was hysterical and entertaining. He was informative on the caves and took lots of pictures of us in the Bengali caves. Driver Super Mario was an excellent driver, very calm and cool and navigated us extremely well. What a great team! Definitely recommend!! Ready. Set. Do it!
Launching right off the beach and steering into different caves openings requires incredible skill. The crew, Mario and Vitor, navigated the Atlantic swells with ease, making the entire group feel safe, relaxed, and well looked after.
Joshua & Rafa were awesome! Rafa was a TOP TOP captain! Joshua knew the ins-and-outs of the local caves and really gave the whole experience a nice personal touch!
It was very nice, done with a small boat so we were able to enter the caves; I recommend it.
Our 30-minute boat ride was a highlight of the day! Joshua brought so much passion and energy to his introductions that the whole trip felt lively from the start. Quite the adventure — and definitely one for the books! 😁🌊 From Paradise to the Love Cave… and then suddenly… Prop hit some lime/coral and the motor stopped. Several waves crashed over the boat almost capsized. Half of the groups life jackets automatically inflated. Sounding like gunfire. The boat is now sideways, heading straight for the cave wall, with about 2 feet of water inside! The Captain is shouting, “Get out! Get out!” Everyone evacuates… except me. He tells me to stay! 😳 We finally exit the Love Cave and the Captain starts doing donuts to get the water out of the boat. I am rescuing peoples shoes and clothing from going overboard. Another boat arrives, the Captain jumps aboard to give assistance, and then heads back into the cave to rescue our group. Meanwhile, Search & Rescue arrives! 🚨 New life jackets for everyone, a quick regroup… and off we go to Benagil Cave as if absolutely nothing happened! 😂 Definitely terrifying in the moment, but what a story to tell! ❤️🌊 2 guides and tourists remained calm. Sure hope they constantly review CO2 cartridges expiration dates. Portugal 2026 — an adventure we will NEVER forget! 🇵🇹😁
