Itinerario
Il bellissimo Monastero di Gracanica fu costruito nel 1321 e fa parte della lista dell'UNESCO. Quasi 700 anni, chiesa attiva e affreschi e ritratti ben conservati. Nel complesso del monastero vivono circa 20 monache.
Il più antico monastero ortodosso del Kosovo costruito nel XIII, con bella giardino curato, composto da quattro chiese uniche, migliaia di affreschi e ritratti.
Il miglior monastero del Kosovo, costruito nel XIV secolo, un'architettura unica, con forse la più grande galleria d'arte medievale d'Europa, migliaia di incredibili affreschi e ritratti.

The Monastery tour was just amazing. The frescoes in these 13th &14th century churches were just beyond beautiful. Our guide, Bekim, was full of knowledge about the sites but beyond that as we traveled between the monasteries he shared so much information about the present state of the country, the inter action of the different cultures and the future endeavors of the country. We spent a very pleasant day and learned so much about Kosovo. Bekim was very personable and made sure we were comfortable during the entire tour.

Definitely a highlight of our Balkans trip. Exquisite frescos. Unbelievable. Bekim is an amazing tour guide. So knowledgeable. Not only in what we were seeing but also general background and history of the region. We really enjoyed our time with him.

Our guide seemed quite professional, he explained interesting facts about the culture and history of Kosovo. He could have explained a bit more about the medieval frescoes in the monasteries. We did not have the occasion of having lunch but that was not really a problem since the excursion ended at about 3 pm. We also got the possibility to visit the ethnographical museum of Pristina.
