Etna Tour in 4x4

Questa escursione prevede un itinerario a tappe per farvi conoscere e apprezzare luoghi di particolare pregio naturale all'interno della riserva del Parco dell'Etna fino a una quota di circa 2000 metri. Grazie all'esperienza del nostro staff, a bordo di veicoli 4x4 vivrai un'esperienza interessante e al contempo divertente. Partendo dalle colate laviche che hanno minacciato interi paesi, si visiteranno i crateri spenti e il belvedere della maestosa Valle del Bove. Visiterai una grotta di scorrimento lavico (lava tube) muniti di caschetto e luci da speleologo. Il tour si concluderà con una degustazione di specialità siciliane. NOTE IMPORTANTI: il nostro meeting point di Trecastagni a MontataGrande raggiungibile con auto. E’ possibile richiedere il pick-up up da Catania o altri paesi. Itinerario
Il tour si snoda nella visita di diverse attrazioni (almeno 4): le colate laviche antiche e recenti; la Valle del Bove; la visita di una grotta vulcanica con luci e caschi; passeggiata sui crateri laterali a 2000 mt circa.
Sosta panoramica nella spettacolare Valle del Bove, un anfiteatro naturale creato dal crollo di antichi centri eruttivi dell'Etna. Questa tappa potrebbe non essere svolta partendo da Taormina. In alternativa si raggiunge la stazione sciistica di Piano Provenzana distrutta dall'eruzione del 2002.
Visita in questa o in una grotta similare con luci e casco da speleologo per comprendere l'affascinante fenomeno della formazione dei lava tubes. Le guide vi assisteranno in questo affascinante luogo naturale per scendere nei meandri del vulcano.
Tasting all'agricoltour MontataGrande con assaggio di specialità dell'Etna e siciliane (Vino, liquori, olio, miele di Zafferana, creme dolci, pesti salati, pistacchio di Bronte, etc). Questa tappa si svolge con certezza solo dai meeting point di Catania o MontataGrande, previa disponibilità della location.

Wonderful experience. Our guides were so knowledgeable and accommodating for the children and older adults in our group. Our stops on the tour were interesting, engaging and filled with cultural information as well as education of the volcano’s geology itself. If you want to explore Etna and what this volcano truly means to the Sicilian people, do not hesitate to book! A great time had by all!

We had a great experience on this Mt. Etna tour. Luca was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting information about Mt. Etna and the surrounding area. He was also incredibly helpful when I climbed to one of the craters, making the experience much easier and more enjoyable. His guidance and encouragement were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're lucky enough to have Luca as your guide!
It’s not often that you come across a tour guide as knowledgeable and genuinely engaging as Ciccia. We considered a few other tours, but we’re so glad we chose this one. Being in a small group (we got lucky it was just our family) made a huge difference—we were able to ask questions freely and really hear and absorb the answers. Ciccia’s knowledge of Mount Etna and its history was incredible, and it was clear how passionate he is about what he does. He was kind, welcoming, and truly appreciative of us being there, which made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Don’t fall for the cheaper big group tours, this is 100% worth it!!
Francesco was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide about all things Mama Etna. This trip was amazing from the hike to the craters, the inside of the lava tube, and the jeep ride to the lava flow. The tastings and our lunch were an added bonus! This was a highlight of our travels.
Great experience with Oracio, who spoke very good French; he was able to explain the history of Etna well and answered our questions with a touch of humor. We saw the Valley of the Bull, visited a volcanic cave, and climbed a crater. To top it all off, a tasting of various farm products (pistachio/hazelnut creams, flavored oils, chocolate, pestos, liqueurs, etc.) beautifully concluded this visit. Thank you, it was fantastic!
Must-do if you visit Catania! We truly enjoyed out trip to Etna. Our guide Ciccio was amazing and super fun, full of sooo many stories, we learned so much about Mama Etna. Our 5 year-old daughter loved the experience - from climbing Etna, and the lava cave to the 4x4 off-road trip and delicious farm food.
A superb and very informative visit with a very competent and friendly guide, Marco. Go there! You will learn everything about Etna! The lunch at the cafeteria is delicious.
