A great overview of the beautiful city of Bergen. We really enjoyed our walking tour and found it a great way to begin our stay. Bergen is gorgeous and we loved our tour
Provided a really nice overview of Bergen, from the older section to the relatively newer section of town. Nicholas was our guide and he was very informative, interesting, funny and took the time to recommend other places to visit/eat at in Bergen. The tour was an easy walk except for the 4 seasons of weather in the two hour period. Overall, I would definitely recommend the tour, especially for first time visitors to Bergen.
Thank you!
Magda was wonderful to walk around Bergen with. Very knowledgeable and kept a good pace for seeing the architecture and how it relates to Bergen’s unique history. We wanted to learn about the history of the area beyond WWII involvement. (We had covered that a bit already on previous tours with a group.)
Thanks!
Husband and I enjoyed our walking tour with Judith in the rain, and we have the stickers to prove it. We learned it rains 230 days a year in Bergen so live doesn’t stop because of the rain. In fact, Judith road her bike to town and we saw classes of school children on outdoor adventures. All you need is a raincoat and waterproof shoes and pants if you have them. We did fine with just a raincoat. We enjoyed learning the history of the wharf and the selection process for Norway’s king. Judith was patient in answering our many questions about Norwegian life. She also provided great food recommendations. After a wonderful meal at Fish Me we went to Fjak for rich hot chocolate and fancy chocolates. Will go to Villani Trattoria tonight. Thank you, Judith. You are a delight!
Thanks so much for your lovely review!
This tour was a perfect introduction to Bergen. We took it the first morning we were in town. Jeff was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw the sights we were interested in seeing. He also gave us many ideas of what to do our remaining time in Bergen and we enjoyed those as well. We highly recommend this tour.
This tour of Bergen was terrific. Our guide was amazing from the first contact (via email) until we said goodbye at the end of the tour. She was personable, communicative, informative and entertaining. We could not have had a better experience!
Thanks so much, Michael!! I had a great time getting to know you and your travel buddies :)
Eirik was amazing. He was knowledgeable, personable and adaptable to all of our needs. We loved the deep dive into the history of the waterfront area and the personal passion that Eirik brought to the tour.
We did a private walking tour of Bergen & also a day tour driving to Troldhaugen, Grieg's home to tour the grounds as well as attend a concert. It was quite magical. Emma was an excellent, enthusiastic, &well organized guide. She showed us places off the beaten path, especially as there were many tourists in town for a festival & a cruise ship docking. She works hard to make sure her guests enjoy discovering Bergen & envrions. We would highly recommend her.
Fabiola was a great guide & helped us get a comprehensive understanding of past & present Bergen during our walking tour. She is very deep & knowledgeable on the history & is great for those interested in getting really into the details. She offered us a number of recommendations for our time in Bergen and it was a great way to start our visit!
We chose a 2 hour walking tour because we had a small window of time in port (we arrived on a cruise) Eirik was a great tour guide! We had great weather so we told him we're ready to cover as much terrain as possible! So, for been a short tour we walked close to 4.5 miles! He showed us the city, talked about it's history, geography, commerce, it's people, food scene and told us about life in Bergen! We'll definitely call on him when we get back!
