Riesci a immaginare di scoprire cascate nascoste, un monastero secolare e una fortezza medievale in un solo giorno, senza la folla? Con noi è possibile, perché saremo al massimo otto viaggiatori, che condivideranno l'esperienza come se fossimo amici di una vita. Da Madrid ci dirigeremo al Monastero di Piedra, un paradiso naturale con cascate, sentieri e paesaggi da sogno. Entreremo poi nel monastero per viaggiare indietro nei secoli e scoprire la vita dei monaci e la loro tradizione vinicola. A mezzogiorno faremo una sosta a Calatayud, dove ci attende l'autentica cucina aragonese. Ogni viaggiatore potrà scegliere il proprio menù in un ristorante locale (ognuno pagherà per il proprio consumo), ma condivideremo il tavolo e le risate. Nel pomeriggio visiteremo il Parador de Sigüenza, un'imponente fortezza medievale dove brinderemo con un drink e ci immergeremo nella sua atmosfera leggendaria. Torneremo a Madrid dopo una giornata unica e intima, ricca di momenti indimenticabili.

Itinerario
Ci incontreremo a O'Donnell Gate con tutti i membri del gruppo. Da lì inizieremo il nostro viaggio verso il Monastero di Pietra.
Arrivo al Parco Naturale Monasterio de Piedra - 10:45. All'arrivo inizieremo la nostra avventura nel giardino storico, circondato dal verde e da un paesaggio ricco di ruscelli e laghi. Questo ambiente trasmetterà la calma e la pace che derivano solo dall'essere immersi nella natura. A poco a poco ci addentreremo nella foresta, dove i sentieri e i percorsi ci condurranno a impressionanti cascate, grotte e caverne che ci apriranno la strada verso la catena montuosa aragonese. Poiché il percorso è circolare, non molto ripido e lungo non più di 4 km, sarà poco impegnativo dal punto di vista fisico. A metà del percorso faremo una pausa per idratarci e fare un delizioso spuntino.
Avremo tempo per pranzare in un ristorante locale con la tipica gastronomia della regione. Non è incluso nel prezzo dell'esperienza.
Arrivati alle imponenti mura del monastero cistercense, risalente al XIII secolo, scopriremo come vivevano i monaci, visiteremo il chiostro e conosceremo anche le loro tradizioni e usanze piene di storia e mistero.
Partenza per Madrid. Li lasceremo nello stesso luogo in cui li abbiamo raccolti.

No good this company is terrible. They canceled our tour after I went to bed by email. No call even though they had my number. A guy emailed said not enough people and a woman emailed and said it was weather related. This left us with no plans for the last day of our trip. It took me getting a hold of Viator to get my refund. They still haven’t responded to my messages. No apology nothing, ruined the final leg of our trip.
They canceled due to not enough people for the tour. Cant say if it was good or not, but would have loved to go.
This is a must and worth dedicating an entire day. Book it you won’t regret it! The waterfalls are amazing and beautiful - it is a very quiet location with not many tourists, making it that much more memorable, to be able to take in the peace and quiet and take pictures without Crowds or having to queue. What really elevated the experience was our guide. Andres was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history and ecology of the area. We learned not just about the monastery itself, but also about how the park was transformed over time into the natural wonder it is today. The pacing was perfect—structured enough to cover the highlights, but with plenty of time to take photos and soak it all in. The highlight for me was walking behind one of the larger waterfalls—a surreal, almost cinematic moment that I won’t forget anytime soon. It’s the kind of place that feels both peaceful and awe-inspiring at the same time. If you’re considering a day trip from Madrid and want something beyond the typical city sights, this is absolutely worth it. Comfortable shoes are a must, and be prepared for a bit of walking—but every step is worth it. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature, history, or simply discovering hidden gems in Spain. Andres carried waters, oranges and chocolate for the family as a snack after all the hiking which was so appreciated and spent time getting to know us.

This was a really great experience! We went with kids ranging from 9-14 and every single one of our group enjoyed it. This tour ended up being a highlight of our trip to Spain! Hiking was fun to see the waterfalls and we really enjoyed the monastery tour a lot. Andres is a great guide! I absolutely recommend this tour and make sure to request that Andres guide you for the day. We were glad we went!
